No it's not! You have paid £247, you get £78 x 2 back which is £156, total paid = £91.

    Oops, slight miscalculation!!! Edited!

    Hi

It was a sel and a slightly larger ad thing attached to the shelf. They removed one and left the other after my 1st purchase!

I've not opened the tv yet it's for my ds's Xmas pressie. The demo one in store was far superior to the other similar size ones and we were actually buying it before we realised it was a misplace.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

So... Your other half pointed out the mistake honestly to the cashier and to "correct" this, you purchased another set knowing full well it would be overcharged, kept quiet about the fact you knew and pocketed money for a television you're going to return?
I know they're just a company but that is so dishonest. I can't believe you (and others) are patting you on the back for this.
Great grabbit (well, less of a grabbit than a grab, lie and return). Congratulations.

It seems that this particular TV was £169.36 up until 28/09/10 only and was part of promotion for a small period which discounted the VAT on Technika TV's so the REAL price is that which is currently showing online (£199) so not sure where they get £247 from ?

Nah, its not called dishonesty its called a 'golden' ;) well done OP.

Will look out for this, was it a yellow SEL? possibly the offer has finished and they haven'y removed it, worth a look for anyone near a Tesco who needs a tv though.

The end date for the offer was 2/10/10

There have been many discussions about tesco mispricing over the years but if something has been pointed out to them yet they still don't remove all the relevant advertisement then I am going to look out for myself at the end of the day. The dtd offer is set by them.

End date for the offer online is 02/10/10 - Instore it was 28/09/10.

It will all depend on what the SEL says at the store, rather than an out of date poster still being displayed. You may be lucky and get away with it though. Doesn't hurt to try !

I think if you don't like this thread and think it's dishonest then you won't like many posts in this grabbit thread as a lot of people post glitches in this area and this is just another sort of glitch :) good luck to those who try&get it!
