Hi all,
I know that there's a specific thread for misprices somewhere but I'm on my phone so I struggle to search.
Anyway I've just bought a tv from tesco and been overcharges nearly £80. When we were buying it my silly dh pointed out the mistake to the checkout woman so it was corrected before we were overcharged.
I ran back upstairs and got the other one left though and got dtd on it and will be taking it back later today.
The tv is a technika LCD 24-621 and is advertised at £169.-- but goes through at £247.-- it's on a green box and was on the end of the aisle in my local store in Leeds.
Hth someone.

i know there will be a good answer for this but why would you want overcharged? do they refund you double what you were overcharged or something?0

Yes they do0

Yes they do, mostly - my mum was overcharged and the manager refused to give her DTD (double the difference).
As long as it was in store and not online, then contact Head Office and complain, and you should get the money refunded.
I got into a bit of an argument with a manager in my local Tesco once as she was refusing to give DTD.
Ended up making 2 complaints that day actually, one just about the DTD issue, and the other specifically about the manager as she told me that I was being pathetic as I'd only been overcharged about 30p, so we were only talking about 60p back so why was I bothering to argue as 60p didn't even count. Got to the point where I said, Fine, shall I just take this chocolate bar (on the stand at the kiosk where we were) and just put it in my bag then, because it would only cost me 55p so that wouldn't even count!!
(Obvs I wouldn't have actually taken it, but made a point!)
I said I would call Head Office and make a complaint, at which point she tried to be nicer and ok ok I'll give you the DTD!
I left saying I would rather complain about her, and she didn't look best pleased about that!

Assuming they do pay DTD that's £91 for the telly !! I wonder !
£199 online, reviews not particulalrly good, but if you get it for £91 that doesn't matter.0 -
No it's not! You have paid £247, you get £78 x 2 back which is £156, total paid = £91.0
