  • Well we're having a realy warm night here,it's like a summers evening outside with a warm breeze, bizzare realy.
It could be freezing though because I'm not even going to think about putting my heating on yet.

people who have fires on really do have their heating on. The genuine `no heating` people have no form of heating on at all. I often read `I have my wood burning stove on and won`t be turning the heating on til nov 1st`

We have no form of heating on at all as really it is wrm enough. Occasional evenings I get wrapped in a fleece but if it carries on like this then winter will be almost like summer this year

I have put the heaters on in the bedrooms for a short times twice a day. Nothing else yet... although getting a bit chilly now.

I have no heating on yet. I really cant afford to so putting it on is not an option at the minute. Although I have woken up this morning with a stinking cold but i think that is more my own stupid fault in that i went to work yesterday in just the shirt and tabard i am forced to wear and my god it wasnt half cold last night and i had to stnad outside for 20 minutes until my supervisors taxi came! Shes 65 and scared of anythgin remotely teenagerish so cant eave her scared stiff becuase all the kids seem to hang around our shop on a firday night.

If you have to hang around 20 minutes for her taxi to arrive, the very least she could do is to give you a lift back home again, Sammy. Make sure you take your fleecey jacket with you next time - my daughter works in a similar place to yours and has to walk back home again afterwards. AND they seem to have the same kind of teenager problem.

Your tabard isn't green with L*n*i* on it by any chance ;) ?
  • i have had my gas heater on a couple of nights this week just for half hour or so to take the edge of the cold but other than that no heat at all. I like to stay in the kitchen while my oven is on and let it warm the downstairs!

our ch was on last week for a couple of days as we've all been poorly, but had to turn it off again. Is it me or has it been really warm the past few days.
Me n little un are starting to get cold again. Not sure if its coz heatings been on n off n the weathers been cold then warmish so our bodies havnt been able to adjust properly or whether its just bad luck on our part.
hopefully ch will remain off for a while longer.

  • It's going to be 19 to 20 degrees here in Kent today, lovely and sunny.

We might even have a barbecue!

Heating is still off as a result.

I made this selfsame point in this post ;) Not that I'm getting into any competitions with anyone else about heating issues. Different houses, people and micro climates mean we can only use or not use our heating according to each individual circumstance.

Mine has been on, then of course it immediately turned milder, so it's not coming on at the moment:D
