Thanks all re the on/off argument.
Given that our flat appears to be well insulated and we have double glazing I think I will let DH win this one and put it on for a short blast as and when. We plan to move in the New Year, if not before and I will start monitoring it at the new place (that we haven't found yet!).
Still OFF. I would have loved air conditioning today since I've had a fever and was too hot with all the windows open.0 -
Mine is off atm, but I've started feeling the chill. When it gets cold and with no ch timer, I refuse to put the heating on in the morning, making do with 15 mins on my little fan heater while I wash/dress. Ofc that's when I have to get up at at 4:30am.
On the weeks I get up later, I'll hold off as long as poss, I'm hoping to not put it on till end Oct/beg Nov. Atm OH is warm and I won't put it on till he feels the cold. Before MS, I used to just put it on when I was in the house, not thinking bout cost etc. Now I put my layers on
Am with you on that with the Ms,i feel the cold really badly but everyone else is boiling,i have a hot water bottle on my legs a blanket fluffy boots thermal socks an oh fleece padded shirt
on or over me
if i get cold im like that for ages,It's an honour having such a lovely family and being welsh, what more could a girl want :rotfl:0 -
It was 27.5 in the apartment when I got home last night. Had both windows open wide, all evening, and by 11pm, it was still 27.5! No bl00dy wind....for once! Refused to set up the air con again as it's such a faff, and we'd only just put it away. So we left the bedroom window wide open, used a sheet on the bed (instead of duvet) and braved the mossies (no net curtain material sourced yet - will have to be weekend).
It's gonna be like that all weekend. I'm getting us some net curtain stuff tomorrow!!
It'll probably drop to 10 degrees y next weekend! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

OFF!
Its been a very dull day today but also hot and stuffy, we`ve just had a huge downpour which has really lowered the temp outside.
My thermometer now reads 16 degrees outside and 23 inside, earlier it was 28 outside and 26 inside.
I`ve not checked the weather forecast yet - fingers crossed for more warm daysnow i`ve typed that i`ve probably jinxed it though
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
