Is your heating ON or OFF?

Have my heating coming on in the mornings as I don't want to get out of the shower and then go into a freezing bedroom to get dressed, the bathroom is too damp from showering to dress in.. and if you are only sitting down for a few minutes for breakfast you'll be gone by the time the rooms heat up surely?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

As there is still snow here I haven't even thought about putting off the heating. My birthday is late March and we often have snow then even though it's officially spring so it won't be off before then. If things go well it might be able to go off in April but more likely May.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

For some strange reason I wrote the date on my calander last year, when the heating was off all night, it was the 28th March :eek:0

So do all of you who switch your heat off also have combi-boilers?0

Set at 20 degrees in the day and 15 degrees at night, so switched on 24/7 pretty much.
It will be switched off mid March 2010 as I live down sarf.0 -

Well, we don't have one, not sure how they work, only know about our system, our timer has the faciltity to turn the heating off, but have the hot water side on, so we have this for an hour in the morning and in the evening.
I surpose really the heating is on at this moment, just that the radiators are turned off.0 -
don't think ours will be going off on March 1st its bloomin freezing here 0oC just now and to drop to -5 through the night. Checked my gas meter earlier and have used 140 units of gas since i moved in here 14 weeks ago (don't know if this is good or not) but only have my heating on 1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours at night .I also have a combi boiler and a gas cooker.
Keep warm everyone.Debt free since September 2018 :j:j:j0 -
We have a back boiler! and i am dreading the next utility bills. OH has had "Man flu" for the past 3 weeks and the heating has been on almost constant. I would like to start reducing the number of hours our heating runs - not done this before, not sure we will manage 1st March as we dont have any other form of heating for the evenings - hoping for new heating system in 2010 with a woodburner:D
Will watch this thread with interest to see how the March 1st switchoff goes
