And ours is fixed and on now (since Thursday before last). Fortunately this means we have used almost no oil but just as well as lots of electric heating was deployed that last cold week. House is toasty warm now in time for Christmas. Have a good one everyone, and stay warm.

I've got my heating on today ,it's so cold I don't care about the cost.
  • My gas bills have been less than expected this winter so GCH is definitely on today!
  • Mine is definitely on and will stay on for awhile as its a nasty blizzard is blowing at the moment in Kent with more heavy falls expected during the night

My heating has been on since September and won't be turned off till June/July

Fires are lit from October through till at least April, often later

Snowing now, first we have seen this week, but we have had snow most weeks since Christmas
  • It's cold and snowy outside, and our GCH is definitely *ON* :)

our heating is on contantly from october until ~end March. I dont care what the calculations / experts say, it definately works out cheaper to set it like this than turn it on and off as thats what we did last year and it used nearly an extra tank of oil

Hi everyone, I turned my heating on late this afternoon and water started pouring out of the boiler so off it went before I got too wet, it was lucky I was in!! Anyway I will phone the boiler people tomorrow to see if they can come to fix it. I have had the fire on all day, with a couple of heaters running off the solar panels otherwise I could have phoned earlier. Its cold outside but inside its quite warm, well it is in the front room with the fire on, anyway off to bed with a hot water bottle.
