Off still. I want to wait until November but we are looking after a baby on Thursday and I don't want her to be cold.
I am cold now in my living room but the lights are off. Just the telly on and a Yankee candle burning. Got my slippers and a cardigan on and will go to bed shortly.0 -
Off but it's def getting nippy today!
Starting to think that the house could do with it more than me. I don't want it to get all damp like the first year I was hereLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Mine's dead! In all honesty I would probably have had it on by now so the fact that neither the heating or the hot water are currently working is in fact saving me money!
Showers instead of baths for the boys, dishwasher when we run out of crockery, usually every 3-4 days, instead of washing up after every meal! I'm not sure we can make it through the whole winter though as no tumble dryer and damp washing and a cold house aren't going to be a great combination.MBNA [STRIKE]£2,029[/STRIKE] £1,145 Virgin [STRIKE]£8,712[/STRIKE] £7,957 Sainsbury [STRIKE]£6,870[/STRIKE] £5,575 M&S [STRIKE]£10,016[/STRIKE] £9,690 Barclaycard [STRIKE]£11,951[/STRIKE] £11,628 CTC [STRIKE]£7,629[/STRIKE] £6,789 Mortgage £[STRIKE]182,828[/STRIKE] £171,670

Still off at the moment but blimey it's getting chilly! Ours is oil fired, so truly need to keep it off as long as possible. Electric blankets on for 15 minutes before bed and an extra blanket where necessary. Open fire late afternoon and evening (the firewood is free) that warms most of downstairs but still need a thick jumper.0

My living room is only about 1 degree cooler this morning, than it was last night, but it feels much chillier.0

Bit late to this huge thread but mine is still off and I'm determined its going to stay that way until November. Ours usually goes off around April.
Not really cold in the house except for when you get out of the shower but I've had windows open most of the day to get some fresh air in and get rid of the condensation. I've got a blanket for the sofa for the evenings and think we're doing ok this year.0
