still off, but I think I need to change from the cotton sheets & summer duvet to the flannellette sheets and/or the heavier duvet soon as it was a bit chilly the last couple of nights!

Bit annoyed with myself as I decided the sitting room carpet needed a bit of a clean so have had to put the heating on for a couple of hours. It'll be going off again shortly though.0

Still no heating on here just jumpers, cardis and slippers. It has been chilly the last couple of nights so the hot water bottles have been brought out and extra blankets if needed. I have had the bio fuel stove on in the living room and it has kept the chill off remarkably well considering it is only a small table top one, it burns for 2 hours on 250ml and a 2litre bottle in B&Q is £5 so it works out at 62.5p for two hours, the kids don't like the smell much, but it isn't that bad and I do have air vents before anyone says about ventilation.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Just home from a week abroad and feeling the chill. Mines is on and will be staying on. I love my bedsocks but i like to be warm enough that i dont need lots of layers on.0

Heaters off but fire on today (burning next door neighbour's fence, don't worry they let us have it )
Lots of blankets, layers, woolly socks and a huge hoodie today. Good brisk walk helped too.......................0 -
We've not had the heating on yet... But I have been cooking up stews and slow roasting dishes a lot the last few weeks and with the oven being on low and for more or less days at a time its kept the flat quite warm and toasty. Though its now taking 2 days for my washing to dry, putting it in the dryer uses up less electric price wise, then what it does to have the heating on for the same amount of time.
And I bought my 7 year old a few fluffy onesies which she wears to bed and she doesn't even have the duvet over her now.
Will be trying to stick with onesies, dressing gowns, slippers and duvets as long as I can.0
