Off :j it was chilly last night but a quick blast of the fire warmed the living room up enough to be cosy for hours :D

It just takes a steely spirit to get out of bed in the morning :rotfl:

OFF! no heating here. I try to keep it off till the 1st November.
I do confess though! yesterday I had x2 lots of washing on the line all day and it came in damp so I put the tumble dryer on.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Still off. Struggled a bit a day or two ago but being active (housework etc) fended off the cold. I'm going abroad for a few days so will see what it's like when I get back.

Ours is off and so far we're fine with jumpers and socks (and trousers obviously!). I want it off until November, but I caved in last year and put it on just before then so we'll see how we go!

I think being in flats we're getting warmth through from the neighbours, and earlier this year cavity wall insulation was put into the building so I'll be interested to see if that makes a difference. I'm not sure how I'll be able to tell unless it's a really dramatic and obvious difference because of the infernal ancient economy 7 heaters which are either switched off or are very much ON and we bake.

Edit - it's freezing in work now though, everyone's got their jumpers out now. Someone has kindly stolen me an electric heater from somewhere else in the building as I was freezing and loudly complaining about it, so now I'm warm enough with that next to me. Whoever's it is, they're not getting it back.

No heating on yet - I haven't even used my electric blanket :) I do have the most amazing fleece jacket though, bought in the EWM sale for £10
  • Mine is off, and I'm determined to keep it that way as long as possible! It went on in September last year and we've spent all summer trying to pay it back. So far lighting a few candles in the living room at night has kept us warm enough.
  • Still off and determined to keep it that way till at least November. Outside temperature is between 5 and 11C. Haven't been tempted to put it on yet but fluffy dressing gown and bed socks are on in the evenings and the cat whi normally never acts like a lap cat has taken to snuggling on my knee in the evenings.
