i would buy the houses on either side of properties owned by people I didn't like. then I would make the twpo properties I owned horrific lottery lout style eyesores and have loads of undesirables in there. i would then offer to buy the middle house for 40% of its value, and when i have, turn my original two back to their former glory and sell the middle one at vast profit laughing in my enemy's face.

£300 million pounds? Part of me would feel like using the money as Edmond did, in the Count of Monte Cristo.

Seriously though? A nice house (upto £1m), £1m between family (house for sister), 1/2m into savings for myself, and the rest into a foundation granting investment to entrepreneurs + direct to other good causes.
That will be a semi in Hale Barns then'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
buy a house for me and one each for my family, pay all friends mortgages off, and buy them cars, give 5 million to air ambulance and five million to lifeboats, buy some nice diamonds, and live the life of riley, maybe do the programme , secret millionaire and give to a few worthy causes.0

If I suddenly received £300 million?
I'd aim to die owing at least £600 million. :beer:0 -
I'd give £290 million away to people who need it. Nothing you can buy will ever replace the feeling of helping others and seeing the smile on their face. Doing good and what you deep down believe to be right is much more rewarding than anything that can be bought.
Is one of these things mutually exclusive from the other? I'm not sure you have to do one or the other. You could quite easily have £300 million, fully enjoy the trappings that could come with it yet still spend plenty of time helping others and seeing the smile on their face.
Spend your days helping out at a homeless shelter, spend your evenings bedding women that look like Megan Fox whilst on a yacht. Jobs a goddun'.0 -

Anyone see that article about that women who recorded the previous weeks lottery and entered the previous weeks winning numbers, she then asked her hubby to check the slip as they were called on Tv or rather should I say video playback  I wonder if they are still married.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. I'd travel the world in a private jet, staying at all the best hotels in the best cities. Hopefully I'd have plenty left for a massive luxury mansion with a garage full of super cars after that.
I'd chuck a bit to a couple of charities of personal relevance also, as well as the usual sorting out of family/friends.0 -
Emirates "suites", 10K single to singapore. You do get a personal hostie though.
Lots of time then would be spent in Raffles, drinking G,T and a twist of lemon living the life of the old empire! Huzzah!0 -
