  • I don't know what all the fuss is about.

It doesn't take some bizarre website to help people realise what they already know, that house prices are falling.

The fat ladies certainly singing on HPC website.

It's finished. Everyone knows the score. It's not to be taken seriously.

I'm a bit gutted they have dished it out for the last few years and haven't got the guts to take their medicine now house prices aren't dropping.

    Cowards.

When you see the latest posts on there like ' Lets grass our landlord up to the inland revenue' you know they have admitted defeat.

I hope everyone of them who wished bad on a homeowner gets totally screwed by their landlord for the rest of their miserable days.

I joined here to debate the issue and I am astonished at the level of vitriol.

    Is this necessary?

Do you think it is a good thing that landlords do not declare their rental incomes?

To be honest I don't care what anyone does in UK anymore.

Any landlord worth his salt will have a decent accountant sorting his books anyway.

The tax won't be that bad. Not worth anyone getting their knickers in a twist about.

I've paid more than my share of Tax. PAYE and as a LTD company.

I don't view a tax evader any worse than some MP giving my hard earned away to a third world country as aid or some lazy chav knocking out loads of kids.

I've learned to worry and take care of myself.

they seem to have gone mental over there.

    That's not exactly news though.
The great HPC purge of 2010.

    To add to the purges of 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, etc.....

Some truly bizarre levels of paranoia and insecurity over there.

It seems they may just have cottoned on that HPC was a great revenue generator for the site owner.

Damn Hamish, do you actually know all the movements of every forum member on another forum!? It's not the first time you have linked to an obscure forum to make a point about a poster and HPC. How do you come across this stuff? It's a bit obsessive!!

I read pretty much all the economics and house prices forums.

As Dr Bubbs threads on hpc were linked to from this forum recently, (not by me, I might add) it is relevant to explain to posters here why these links no longer work.

And as this forum has been linked to from the GEI thread, an invitiation to Bubb to post here is only polite.

Being able to take the p1ss out of hpc at the same time is just the icing on the cake. :D

no idea if it's obsessive but it is funny to see all of these people that were telling us about 65% house price falls, the pound crashing, unemployment hitting 4 million, the FTSE dropping to 2000, the IMF being called in to save the UK and all the Lala Land scenarios.

i hope those apples don't taste too bitter for them...
