Popping in to report NSD NUMBER 6 due to not being able to go out today as van still poorly - it's the starter motor that's gone kaput  £110 or £172 at local motor factors depending on model  £25 at scrap yard but after hubbie cycled 5 miles to get there, he found it's the wrong one  so it's either £70 on eBay delivered on Tuesday or hoping to get one at another scrap yard on Monday for about £25 or so
Still, as I say, it got me my NSD today. Hubbie is getting a lift to the car boot in the morning (3 am ) so he can still do his car boot which is just as well as we need some extra money to pay for the part - but it means that I won't be able to go down
Lots of hugs needed on here at the moment - and tissues tooMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Got another event today hosted by Ian Rankin (of Rebus fame) which is all about crime writing. Should be good, plus the tkt was FREE!

Snap! Very annoying! There must be something in the air ...
Anyhoo, I too managed a NSD yesterday - most unexpected, but I'm not complaining - every little counts! So my running total is now up to 6 NSDs - woo hoo!I might still go on my motorbike trial ride later on
Shhh! Keep that one quiet - BigMummaF, Hannah_10 and I are riders, but some of our fellow NSDers aren't fansBTW I love how the Earl of March lets Dougie Lampkin ride through his "house and garden" - check out these:vid 1 and vid 2.

Well, I'm not technically a rider - having never been in control of a motorbike before. I'm trying it out on private land for free - this company offers free rides so I thought I would take them up on it, but I have no money, and no space to buy a bike. I'm doing it for fun really. I suppose the idea is they offer the free rides in the hope that you want to continue with it afterwards, but being the money savvy saver that I am, it won't work....I hope. I didn't manage to get to it this weekend since I was too ill yesterday, so have moved it to next weekend.
I loved those vids though.:D
