Well yesterday was a spendy day but then Tuesdays usually are because its my grocery day so I made the most of it and bought some other things that are for birthday and christmas pressies that were going to be bought at some point anyway!!
Today will be a NSD for sure as I am working at school then coming home to tidy, collect DS then have a friend round for dinner so no chance of being near shops
Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday - will be back to catch up tonightEmma

NSD - target 18 days, so far 5!!0 -
Hi spoony, really enjoyed doin the NSD's last month,
and as I hit my target of 12 with ease last time im gonna up it to, say.........16, for 1st target.
Done 1st one today.1/16..
Pop us on ya list again plz spoons.
And thankyou to everyone for the support last month. Saved a packet to put towards debt. Including money saved from NSD's and overtime I have managed to pay £600 of our overdrafts, (did this 1st as found out the interest is a scary 19.5%) plus cleared the £195 left on my Credit Card.YNAB is my new best friend.0 -
And I can't moan too much 'cos I squeezed in lots of stuff I had to get anyway (will tot it up in my diary in a mo), including a sneaky pressie for that wee thing that happens in a couple of months form now. I can't remember what they call it. No-one's talked of it much. There not been adverts on telly or anything, so you'd be forgiven if you forgot all about it

Good morning everyone
Reporting #4 for yesterday, yahoo!
Work was a bit stressful yesterday - cos I only work part time they often let visitors use my desk. I dont have a problem with that, but what I do have a prob with is coming to find used napkins, bananas and assorted papers strewn over my desk, all my pens , staples etc nicked and that the person has locked me out of my pooter:mad::mad::mad:
They heard me yesterday morning I can tell you! :eek:Put me off for the rest of the day -there's a tendency in my office to treat me as a second class citizen as Im the only PT'er. I had to fight long and hard to go PT after working there FT for 10 years, sorry for the rant, grr!!
Anyhoo - the NSD'S are going well so far so Im delighted!
Spoon - just for you - this recipe is not from any book, here goes!
RECIPE FOR ( very) LAZY LEEK AND TATTIE SOUP
1 tablesp oil
1 mug frozen onions
2 mugs frozen leeks
( if you use fresh, use 1 onion and 2 leeks, use all the leek inc the green bit)
4 - 5 med - large spuds, peeled & cut into chunks
1.5 pts boiling water
2 chicken or veg stock cubes
heat oil in a large pan
Chuck in the onions and leeks and cook till slightly soft
Throw in the spuds & stock cubes
Fill with enough boiling water to cover everything, about an inch above the height of the spuds
Bring to the boil and then turn heat down and simmer until the spuds are very soft ( breaking up) Give it a stir now and then
Once the potatoes are cooked, it will look a bit lumpy. If you like chunky soup, leave as is, or you can blend with a stick blender to make it smooth. If its a bit thick, just dilute with a bit more water
Sesaon to taste at the end with salt and ground black pepper, sometimes I add a bit of nutmeg
It freezes very well too!
Have a lovely day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

Too old to remember The Man from Uncle but I do (just about) remember Sapphire and Steel. Very strange. Can remember one episode where it had a WWI soldier and "Pack up your troubles...." being sung. Haunted me for years........used to have nightmares about it
I remember that one! It stayed with me for ages tooI really liked S&S (I'm 40 and think it was on very late 70s?) - I remember having a Lumley haircut for my aunt's wedding - very bowl head, looking at the pics

That will keep me laughing all day :T Thank you niccatw!
Yes somedays I feel like a slave to the ponies, but it is a labour of love :heartsmil:heartsmil. am planning to reduce the numbers but I need to know if Big Mare is in foal first, as it is hard to decide who stays and who is on the transfer list!
Have a good day allI'm off to work

Have a good day everyone0 -
I'm loving it! Though I'm hardly a natural! Slow and pain staking is the way! Mock-up dress sorted (I've a "hollow" back apparently so everything needs pinned in and adjusted), now the scary bit: cutting the "proper" material! Though I had some very good advice and got some lovely cheaper fabric (it could well become an out of hand hobby given I was looking lustily at cashmere fabric!
)
Yes that is the scary bit definitely - I always cut a bit bigger than I need to just in case, but then end up with clothes too big and needing to be adjusted ... must learn to be braver!
Yesterday was very spendy as I tried to cram in all the things I needed so I can hopefully go til at least Monday without spending anything! I bought lots of groceries - if there's anything I've missed I'll get OH to go for itWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
