Morning, well done to your dad Jinty definitely deserves a card! I am up to 6 NSDs now. Was planning another one but popped into our local shop and they were getting rid of loads of nice wine at half price so ended up buying 6 bottles :o.
Well it would have been rude not to at that price!:rotfl:
Felt good until I got home and realised what I spent. Oh well, going away tomorrow but still going to try and reach my target - will get DH to spend his money :rotfl:

jintyb - huge congrats to your Dad on the weight loss. 40lbs in 12 months is a more than respectable loss for anyone, but fantastic for someone that 'little bit older' when metabolism has (supposedly) slowed right down :T I've only managed 30lbs in the same timeframe, which has taken some serious work on the exercise front over the last 5 months and been helped by having a fairly active job (don't have an accurate record of my weight when I started work, so I only know the ball-park figure)

Thank you both for the congrats re Dad, I know its a big weight loss but he WAS a big boy - he's 6ft 2in and his start weight was just shy of 20 stone:eek: He has various health issues including rheumatoid arthritis, which obviously are not helped if you are carrying excess baggage. He says he's not been as light as this since he was at school!

Just back from Tesco, actually came in under my weekly budget so am delighted. Lots of good offers on ( by which I mean on the things I normally buy, for once;))
Also went to the PO and Asda - put my weekly savings away, I 've reached my target for my Christmas savings, have got two cards full (£300), the fares for next week are in the jar and the Sat takeway money is in the jar too! Sorted!

Have a lovely day everyone,:) although it's raining C & D's here ATM:(

3Dogs - That's awful, I hope things get sorted for your Mum's care very quickly so she can recover quickly x

no more for me :o god i must be a spendaholic  only 4 NSD out of 21 and tomorrow i am going birthday shopping , its much harder than i thought :(

I know exactly how you feel sistercas, I was really down about it last month and can't quite believe how often I spend money without thinking about it! Like others have said, each NSD is an achievement and this challenge really helps focus you. Everyone here is sooo surportive, keep posting and we'll all help you along x

jintyb, well done to your Dad :T x

OneStepAtaTime :T well done you, that is fab x

I've had a lovely long catch up with the posts this a.m. with lots of giggling at last night's antics. I haven't been about much this week and didn't realise the trip was coming up, sounds like fun was had.

((HUGS)) to all who are feeling poorly x

The children are off school now and we're having a verrrry lazy day today. IF we leave the house it will only be to the garden so I'm declaring today NSD 8 - yay.

    Happy Friday everyone,

    honey x

NSD no 11 for me please, thought I wouldn't get it but I didn't spend a penny on the way home, and I got my shopping so I have lots of lovely foody things. Still need to go to IKEA tomorrow to get jam and crispbreads, but as I can't eat bread they still count as food....so it should be 12 tomorrow.
