I have been using Formil Non-Bio washing powder for the past two years and have had no problems with it. A big thumbs up from me!'Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'0

I have been using the Formil Non-bio powder for ages. I have a family who mostly have senstive skin and I find it great. I don't use as much as it says on the box and have not noticed any problems. I really like it. Looking forward till the next half price offer on it as will stock up again.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Sorry everyone, i know this is a slightly older thread but can anyone tell me how much the formil washing powder is and for how much? I bought Sains basics stuff the other week and it seems fine so far, just trying to compare prices and cant find the price for this anywhere online!June GC £130.93/£150Wedding Date Set 13th October 2012 :T0

We use Formil, recommended by Which ? It's not always the powder at fault if you get speckles, it can be yours for not reading recommendations for that powder, especially if you live in hard water area. I suggest with any new powder, start with less and add more if needed. We use powder not tablets or liquid.0

Been using my box for a while, i'm quite impressed. I did use Tesco own brand colour powder which did well and smell nice, but Lidl's worked out cheaper. I see they have a offer on now, what do people think of the smell?0

I have been using Formil non-bio powder for 2 years now, previously Ariel and Persil.
No difference to the big brands, but I always put less washing powder than stated.
Whites wash goes at 30°C, 60°C or 90°C depending on material and comes out perfectly white. My family all have sensitive skin and there are no issues with Formil. We like the smell too.0 -

simonjstone,
I would give it a go but with non-bio only.
No 2 years old (or younger) in our family but we realised that our skin reacts to the enzymes in the washing powder (Biological has live enzymes, which help the cleaning at low temperatures. But if some of the powder stays on the clothes after washing the enzymes start reacting to the skin’s natural fats…).
If unsure may be you could ask someone you know (who uses it) to try the powder once and see for yourself.
If you could find out to what exactly your child’s skin reacts would be best
All the best!0 -
