  • littlepinkstars that's some list! ;) My suggestion is to start working through the bath balistics. We uncovered a couple bought in spring and the loss of scent has been dramatic. Fresh products must be used fresh for full benefit, so my mantra will be no more than we can use in a month!

I really wantto do jury service....is that odd?

Certainly not odd - I loved mine, and handily got to do an extra week, although my final two days were at the Coroners Court which was a bit grim - it was still one hell of an experience though, not least as they are apparently selective about who they choose for the CC and it's nearly always (round here anyway) those who have impressed in their standard two weeks - they then keep you for another week for any CC stuff that comes up! :D

I bought that eye make up remover EH - couldnt wait! It feels much nicer than the Botanics one. Less stingy for me. Will give it about a weeks trial to be sure. So thanks for that recommendation, I think I have found a cheaper alternative to the Clinique one.

After my nail polish splurge the other day - Maybelline iron + something brand - like wow! Really impressed. Worn it for 2 days now and no chipping. despite lots of typing and stuff at work and home.

Right, some subtle gradua tan on, well just to make me feel a bit better. And some creams that I am not keen on for my face used on my neck.

    Happy pampering

L'Oreal dermo expertise eye make up remover is really nice, I agree. Took me years to find a replacement for the Gatineau one.

I am going to join you for November! Going to take me a few days to get my list in order and on top of the toiletries - Been really good for 6 months this year but been on a buying spree this summer (mariage is no excuse). I discovered some great products though and been introduced to some cheaper brands that I would never have considered before (ie N7).

On second thought, I'll post my list as soon as I have it :) I actually did a clear out last week on old products that have been staying in my cupboards for years so anything left is still safe to use (I think)
    MFW on your mark
  • I have to confess to totally breaking my resolve this week:(, with purchases from L'Occitane, Boots and BOdy Shop. :eek:Though some are presents, there is somehting in each delivery for me. :eek:Oh well. Try again in Nov. And I have saved some money this month by actively NOT buying some beauty items that I would otherwise have purchased.:T
  • One in for me.... John Freida Hair Colour Mousse - a nice surprise on my return from the theatre last night! (saw Sister Act with Whoopi in it - she was brilliant in it!!)

I'm shattered after a hectic weekend and then last night and an unexpected drive to pick my sister up from the station last night - the train was delayed so she missed her train by 20 seconds (the doors were closing as the people changing at the station for this connecting train were running down the stairs) and had to buy another ticket (£120 :eeek: ) to get home. Such a palaver, and it seems unfair that the passengers had to buy new tickets as it wasn't their fault they missed the train as the first train was delayed! Ahhh rant over, just trying to see if she can get her money back now - probably not!!

Anyway , in a roundabout way I was trying to say that as I'm so tired, I think I will get home from work, order a take away, have a soak in the bath and probably be in bed by 7! :rotfl: let's hope it goes to plan ;)

Have a good day girls x
  • Have you tried J-Lo Glow? It is one of my favourite perfumes. I use it as a daytime perfume, it's pretty and fresh.

Yes, I've tried Glow in the past and I agree, its a really nice daytime perfume. Thanks for reminding me about it - its often on offer at Boots, so I may have to keep my eyes open for it (when I've used up my nearly finished ones, that is!). :T

Hi littlepinkstars and I agree, that's a great list you have there! I am another big fan of Lush and I agree with lostinrates about using up the bath balistics quickly. I have found that not only does the scent disappear but so does the ability to fizz madly in the bath. I've had some disappointing half-hearted efforts from bath balistics I had saved for far too long! So get using them up! :j
Yes - that's the one - smells lovely too, a bit like old fashioned roses I think. I put a bit on a cotton wool pad, then hold it onto my lashes for a few moments before sweeping away, and it does seem very effective. I don;t use waterproof mascara though.

I'm another convert to this eye make-up remover - really gentle, and great value for money. :T

I've got some UUs to report today, yay! :j

Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum - huge 200ml size - yes, its finally finished. Definately good value for money - I'm sure it has lasted at least 18 months, with just about daily use. Certainly made my skin feel smooth, but I'm not all that convinced about how good it is combatting lines etc. (Although I don't know what my skin would have looked like without me using it for 18 months, IYKWIM?!) WIBA? Maybe, but no need as I've got lots of travel sizes (thanks to GWPs) and other brands of serums to use first!

Lush Flying Fox Shower Gel - huge 500ml size - WIBA? YES definately, I love the fragrance. More jasmine than honey, but very luxurious and calming. Wouldn't buy the huge size personally (this one was a gift) as I like having lots of different products on the go, and it did last for ages!

Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Body Butter - very nice texture, more like a light souffle than a heavy butter. Not much of a fragrance, but this was probably because I had kept it too long before using it. WIBA? No need at the moment, but yes to the product no to that fragrance.

Avon Volumising Gel - not sure that is the right name for it, but you get the idea. Came in a white bottle with purple writing on it. OK for the money, didn't leave my hair sticky (like I've found mousse sometimes does). Was half-finished from a couple of years ago so was glad to finish it. WIBA? Probably not - I've got lots of other hair products to use first.

OK well that's all for this time - sorry for the long post. I just love reading everybody's lists, so if there is anybody reading but not posting, please don't be shy or embarrassed - you're very much among like-minded friends here :)

Thanks to Jacks xxx who I picked up the headline from to make the list of what I have in use and in stash.

Well this is a bit of a reality check performing this exercise including the realisation that I am opening everything and finishing nothing!

This is a really good way for me to find out where I am at and I must stop buying Micro-Dermabrasion (Scary I am addicted!!).

Excluded: Shampoo & Bath Shower Gel

Included: I included the sample products I receive and do keep as I have a tendency to stock pile them as well (why?!? either use them or bin them)

Here is my list and look forward seeing it decreased.

    Evening all,
Wow, I'm very envious of all your MAC kit, littlepinkstars! I would be lost without my Pucker tendertone lipgloss. No UUs for me, but thought I'd update about my Elasticizer trial. It was a bit of a disappointment as it made my hair incredibly fluffy and weirdly dry. I think it might be because I skipped conditioner though. My hair did feel more elastic than brittle afterwards, so it must be doing some good. I'll keep persevering! :D

I wasn't too sure the first time I used Elasticizer, but now a few weeks on I think it's great! I still condition after - I haven't changed my routine or products at all apart from adding the Elasticizer a couple of times a week, and it is doing my hair some good.

The biggest difference I have noticed is exactly what I wanted - I can now let my hair dry completely naturally and it looks fine - The frizz and kinks have gone! There is a slight wave, but my hair looks just as thick, and now shiny and glossy, which before was impossible without ghds. I would actually leave the house and go to work without doing anything other than brushing it, and I have!

    I'm a fan - thanks Jacks xxx :D
  • I'm so glad to have got to the end of this one - started it YEARS ago.

u/u: Avon Skin So Soft dry oil spray. WIBA- yes, keeps the mozzies away! And nice on freshly shaven legs.
