Well done Grumpy4u I didn't think this thread was finished just yet
My update is similar to yours as some time after I had cashed the £67 refund I asked and eventually received a detailed breakdown, I then emailed my calculations on 18th December which they ignored until I emailed again last week.
On Friday I had a reply which said that their calculations were correct but ... "as there have been a number of shortfalls in customer service demonstrated to you whilst you have been trying to resolve this matter and to recognise this fact I would like to offer you a goodwill payment of £30.00"
Strange that my claim was for a £90 overcharge back in 2008!
Thanks to DD and others here, I can only reiterate Grumpy4u's words not to let npower get away with it !!0 -

Quite right, persistence is the key.
npower claim to have done nothing wrong yet regularly pay out 3 or sometimes even 4 figure sums to those who complain and refuse to be fobbed off with their feeble excuses. The situation now is they are paying out £60m for, apparently, having done nothing wrong.
Be interesting to see what they have to pay out if they are found to have done something wrong. Be persistent and keep the pressure on. OFT should be persuaded to send their accountants in. They might find something wrong.0 -
I wonder if npower enjoy being at the bottom of the pile year after year ?
