OP, you need to look into having it "set aside"

Just found a letter from the parking company that issued the tickets- its BGS services limited, PO box 1042. Kingston-upon-thames, Surrey. KT1-3YU.0

Read what Ashley has linked to and also go to pepipoo.com and see what they suggest. They are used to this sort of thing and are more often than not can help. Also try not to worry, things have a way of working out for the good.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

To Mrs P-P, in this forum people are rightly told to ignore PPC's charges and not pay. PPC's like to come onto forums such as this and write fake stories that they will get you in the end if you don't pay (obviously concerned that the truth on here will destroy their income).0 -
thanks for the pepipoo site info. they look like a good site for me. I'll send my details to them tomorrow and ill post how i get on....0

Thanks, I'm sure all will work out.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

call me a cynic, but op, i do not believe you.
The OP has got the ccj by default.
The claimant's case never was heard and decided on in court - because the OP never contacted the court to enter a defence at the time the summonses were issued.
So all the claimant had to do was apply for judgement after 14 days had passed from the summonses being sent and this would have been rubber stamped through.
Getting the ccj set aside will be no problem, and the defendant can deal with the claim as if they just received it, put in a defence, and then see if the claimant is prepared to pay for a hearing they know they will lose!0 -
What a bunch of ar****
What address was the bike registered to?
If it was registered to the new address when court papers were filed surely this is an attempt to get a judgement by default.
Especially if you used new address in correspondances with them.
I can see what they have done.
They have seen possible that your bike was registered at old address when you got the tickets, you moved whilst disputing, they sent letters to old address as has been known hoping you dont have post forwarding. You didnt so they won by default.
If you have registered your bike at new address I would check with the DVLA when this was actioned, check with when court papers were filed.
If your address changed before the court papers were issued I would go after the company and file complaint after complaint.
They basacially worked the system to get a default.
SCUMI all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.
PRESS THANKS
