I was told mine would be here before xmas but they weren't. I e-mailed them yesterday and they arrived today

Surprisingly, same thing happened to me 2 days ago, bottom fell off without any warning, a clean break too. No one was hurt luckily, so that makes 3 of us.

Did you put metal spoons in the glasses while you were pouring the water in? I've had glasses break when I've made hot drinks in them before and a friend told me to put a metal spoon in to absorb some of the heat.
