You wont be saying that when I've got no toenails left from all this running I'll have to do :rotfl:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Okay - but I KNOW you can do it. Think of the pride and sense of achievement (and goody bag and medal) at the finish line...
Trust me Luc, that's ALL I'm thinking about right now

Spud, well done on getting a place!! Don't write yourself off!!
Have a look at the London Marathon site, there is all sorts of training advice. Perhaps contact a local running group for info and support?Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
I'm not writing myself off yet, just trying to think logically. Calm would be good here too, but I'm on my 4th brew in an hour and just had to take 2 headache pills
There are training plans in the Congrats mag, but the 'just to get round' plan starts at 30 minutes easy running. I doubt I could manage 3 minutes, never mind flippin 30Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Congratulations and commisserations Spud! Could you maybe start training to see if you might be able to manage it instead of just deferring straight away?
