Sadly, although I would LOVE to do it, I really cant see it happening. Maybe if I defer till 2012 it could be possible. Zero to 26 miles in 6 months is impossible I reckon :(

Did you see biggest loser? A guy who started on the ranch weighing over 440lbs completed a marathon just 19 weeks later and they pnly had 60days notice that they were doing a marathon at all:eek:

If they can do that you can do a marathon with 6months structured training - no one is expecting a world record time!

Plus I reckon at least on emore of us will get a spot so you'll have full WB support x

No, I havent seen it. I've got the last few Sky Plussed. To be fair, they exercise all day every day while they're at the ranch so have built up a certain level of stamina by then I think.

DH thinks its all REALLY funny. DD will be gutted when I tell her because she'd want to do it with me :(
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

True but they were also all morbidly obese, barely able to walk and utterly unfit. It might not be as intensive but you CAN do the necessary preparation to be able to complete a marathon by April 2011. Will it be any less scary in 2012?

Okay - but I KNOW you can do it. Think of the pride and sense of achievement (and goody bag and medal) at the finish line...
