Flutterby....good luck with blood tests....presume that you are getting lots of Vit C as it apparently helps the absorbtion of iron by body.

Thank you meanmarie. Didn't actually know that, but I do take a daily Vit C tablet anyway. Will ask more next time I go to Dr if it's still bad

Had a busy day today managed to catch up with all of the washing and it actually dried on the line.
Then had to go shopping in Asda - Nightmare! they are refitting whilst staying open aaaaargh :eek: everything has been moved and nothing seems to flow, they have soup on one side of an aisle and opposite are the sweets and chocolates. The toilet rolls are opposite the wine !!!!!! it must have been a man who thought that up.
Watched the new series of Nigella's on BBC2 (you can catch up on BBCi player if you missed it).

    evening -

thanks to sistercas and beemuzed for asking after DS2 :)- I gave him a good pep talk on the way to work - told him to look at people when he's talking to them and try and smile:D he seemed a lots happier this evening when I collected him. Fingers crossed he can pass their stupid MOT test next time he gets one.

Beemuzed - I know just how you feel - lots of cleaning up after a boisterous puppy here too! muddy paws galore plus big lumps of mud dragged in from the garden and he's fascinated with my dustpan and brush and also the broom bless him!;)

JackieO - good news re the arm!:j

JackieG - hope you find a dishwasher - no room for one in my kitchen unfortunately and we cant lose a cupboard either!Never mind - wont miss what I've never had.

Looking forward to a lie in and more restful day tomorrow - been a bit hectic today.

    take care all x

Do you drink lots of tea? The tannin in that can limit the absorbtion of iron.

Master Bean is hopefully asleep by now - my eyes are killing me from trying to read and put together endless items of Lego
Just watching My School Prom.........when did it turn into false eyelashes, expensive dresses  Jeez it was a bloomin' school disco and you were grateful for that!

  • I used tohave a couple of scallywags lived near to me and I totally disarmed them by being nice.Imake a plate of chocolate chip cookies and some cola and got talking to them and by a great dollop of charm and cunning these little tearaways ended up my best friends in the end. Most kids get up to mischief and drive adults up the wall at times but I have great faith in the little spark of goodness in the majority of them.Being nice to them and not yelling at them confuses them and I am a great believer of getting aggresive folk on my side.
I was a taxi driver for 22 years in London and have picked up all sorts of folk in various states of inebriation.
    Scenario:
four lads a bit worse for wear get into the cab and are a bit noisey.my reaction is 'hi fella's was it a good night in there, you seem to have had a great time ,is it worth me bringing my husband down at the week end for a beer ,what is it like is the food good ect.by the time they have all finished telling about their evening they are my best buddies and they are happy they are home and iIusually got a good tip from them I had two 'runners' from my cab in all those years which wasn't bad.I was never frightened or threatened at all. a bit of cod psychology and you come away a winner. We had one chap who worked for our company who was always agressive with the customers and I lost count of the times he ended up getting a black eye as he was so stroppy with folk .I am all for usuing a bit of charm to get my own way.usually works as well.;)
