    Morning all,

Hugs to those that need/want them.

Beemuzed - sorry to read in yesterdays thread that you are having such a hard time of it.

Jackie - I hope your dishwasher hunt is successful. I couldn't do without ours. It's only a slimline one and there's only 2 of us, but its on everyday!

Well, OS wise today, I've got washing in the machine, and more to do. However I've set the dryer going as there's loads to do and I don't want it all hanging round the house. I'm amazed at how much washing an 18 day old baby can create!

We've got homemade pasta sauce for tea with some spaghetti and grated cheese and i'm really looking forward to it

Well, the small person is asleep so I might go and get a drink.

    Take care everyone.

    Ali xx

  • Afternoon (just ;) everyone :D

5 years ago today I spent a significant part of the day lolling in a drug addled stupor in a labour ward before being spectacularly whizzed down to delivery in order to pop out DS before I did it there on the bed:rotfl:
falady enjoy your time with Katie as a little one because I swear it's gone in a blink of an eye  We are drowning in Lego today and DS wasn't keen on going to school as he wanted to stay and play with his new stuff. However he changed his mind when he realised he gets to hand out his bags of sweeties to his friends at school. Funny how he's keen to do the little things like that.

Anyway not much OS happening. Cooked beef in SC, had that on a sandwich for tea last night and might do the same for lunch <drools> Forgot mindee is in nursery for 3 hours this afternoon so DD permitting I will be rushing round trying to catch up on my housework from this week. No plans for tonight - got family coming round to see DS so hope to relax later this evening with a well deserved glass of wine :D

Gorgeous and sunny here so one load on the line outside and another one has just finished. Picked some more broccoli so will give that to the kids with their beef for tea tonight. No idea what we're having though :o

Tru - that's an awful lot of travelling. Hope you manage to get plenty of rest xx

jackieg - good luck with your dishwasher hunt xx

OK had better go. Might pop back later ;)

DS3's trip to Legoland was a total nightmare!! He was ill Tuesday and is on antibiotics but was so desperate to go we sent him in they merrily drove half the school (80 kids) to Windsor to find the gates shut..they were closed

  • Hi Chums I am bandage free at last, I have my sleeve and glove on and I never knew how pleased I would feel to be able to wash dishes :):) I have to wear the sleeve 24/7 for two weeks, but that's not a problem as I can take it off for showers ect.My arm is half the size it was and is looking really good. After the fortnight is up I can go without it over night for around two months, then cut back to a few hours in the morning and evening until christmas. By the new year hopefully I will have a thin neosprene (sp) one about the thickness of a pop-sock only to wear.I am so chuffed this afternoon I am just sitting here looking at it.I can type with two hands now, and tonight will be able to clean my teeth and scratch my head when ever I want :)
    memo:Must get out more :):):)
Right, I'm off to do some genealogy stuff .
Hope everyone is having a better day today than they did yesterday
    Bye for now

Have made apple & mint jelly and I can't believe how pretty it looks. I don't want to put it away in the pantry! It's come out a lovely pinky colour due to the rosy skins of the apples. Sugar & vinegar from Aldi but apples & mint from our garden. Shall definitely save a couple of jars to go in Christmas hampers. Also cast on the back of the jumper I'm knitting for my littlest nephew for Christmas.....it's got a big lime green stegosaurus on the front. Also been down to pay some more money into our kitchen fund. The bill is due early 2011 and there's no way we're going to be paying any interest if at all possible, so all spare pennies in there. Reminds me, must check how my ebay sales are doing. Every little bit adds up!

  • Evening everyone:wave:Had a really busy day today organising all my paperwork and bills. Managed to dry some washing outdoors and washed the dogs beds out.
Poor eldest daughter turned up at mine this afternoon with a stomach bug. Bought her some tonic water which seemed to settle her tummy a bit. Just hope we don't get it now!
Hope you all have a lovely evening :)
  • Evening all

    Quiet today, where is everyone?!

Busy day at work. Went to visit a potential place for my work kids to do a community project. It was a day centre for people with dementia. It was such a sad place :( it was dark and dingy and they had really poor furniture. We are hoping to be able to spruce up the place and raise some money for new furniture but it all depends on whether they can find somewhere else for the people to go during the day cos we can't paint when they are there.

I had Drs appt this afternoon as my iron levels haven't increased despite me taking tablets. My Drs is by my parents house (40mins away), they were running half hour late and in the end all the Dr could do was book me in for more blood tests to hospital  don't see why I couldn't have been told that over the phone!

I was going to go to Tesco to do my food shop afterwards (I have a £7 off a £50 spend voucher) but I was starving, and shopping whilst hungry is not good :rotfl: so have come home for a bite to eat - eggs on toast - and will go out in half hour instead.

Hope you all have a good evening
