Making cards - Ideas (part 5)

Hi all , was looking for a little advice - I have been longing for an embossing/die cutting machine and have a little cash stashed away. I have been looking at the sizzix machine and have seen one with all the boards, mat and some cardstock for about £80. I really don't want to spend too much but want value for money. As many of you seem to have machines I wondered which you thought was best. I won't be going mad buying dies I just want the basics - oh I know I will get tempted occasionally after all I am a crafter
Ps I love all your blogs and read them avidly
Hi Ginny, I think that sounds expensive but depends what the package is and what you are looking for I guess. This Big Shot comes with everything you need to cut apart from dies and cardstock and comes in at just under £55. It's a pretty good price I think and delivery is free to UK addresses. I've had my Big Shot for a while now and love it x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Thats excellent price and free postage - see I knew you would know where to go
I will have a ponder then no doubt order it thank you

Padster I know what you mean. There's nothing worse than knowing what you need to do and having to rely on other people to get it sorted for you. How bad does this sound... we're waiting on BIL coming over from Oz to fix stuff in our place cos he's an amazing joiner (hangs head in shame)0

Well I feel better this morning apart from the fact that I just had to pay another large sum to council tax. Trying to get it paid off before it goes to court as I do not want more added to it. Also they informed me that when my new claim gets sorted out it would be separate to this one so I would be paying 2 diff accounts which I do not want to do.
Got to get ready to go into town my bus card needs renewing so that's another £75 gone. Benefits say that you are better off when you are working but they do not factor in all the things that you have to pay its stupid really but hey I am working now and that's the main thing.
I need to get crafting soon but to be honest I am not in the mood to do anything yet. My OCD is trying to rear its ugly head, I feel dirty all the time when I am not. I think I have just let myself get over stressed about things as per usual.
Any way have a crafty days my crafty friends,0 -

ZLS Try not to let things get on top of you - sending you hugs. Have you checked to see if there are other benefits that you can get (eg back to work credits)?
I'm a bit fed up. I spent all weekend making a gift box set for someone and they loved it but when it came to pay for it they gave me the distinct impression they think I've ripped them off.Everyone else I've ever made stuff for have been more than happy and have even gave me more than I've asked for and told me I sell my stuff too cheaply. Not happy

Hi all, hugs to all those in need.xxx
I have made some cards for the challenge and I will post them on my blog. I dont think i am allowed to link to my blog from here. But it is mumhgs crafy hideaway I think some of you are still following from before xx
Zls try to stay positive I know sometimes it can feel like you are sinking in these situations but you will get there in the end. Stay strong and we ae here if u need a chat. xx
Pepop dont let it get to you I always find that people say I dont charge enough but when I ask for anything over £1 people dont like it. When you think of all the time u spend on handmade things it is hard when people are like that. xxIn Perfect love and Perfect Trust.0 -
