Flourgirl - your meal sounds yummy - if I'd still been in Yorkshire I could've come for tea :). The concert was fabulous I've never seen her before but my brother & SIL have been fans for a long time - since she appeared in a local pub & now she fills the Grand Theatre. She has such a natural way of talking to the audience - last night all about her 18 month old daughter being poorly all week & being sick on the dog so both had to be bathed - sorry, probably too much info for lunch time.......

ali - I asked the stampman if they had ejection foam (still not got any!) he asked what it was for, I told him it was for the Marianne butterfly as I'd been recommended to try it.
"You don't need it" says he - ?
"have you tried tapping it on a table?" - yes,
    "flexing the die?" - yes,
    "sticky tape? - yes,
    "watching us on create & craft??" - ?? :(
I've tried them all, and different papers and shims in my bug, says I, so he then tells me as he's walking off to tidy up ...........
"they work perfectly, they've now put holes in them so you can push through from the back"
 ????? If they worked perfectly why have they altered the design now???? I was so angry I wanted to hit him for being such a ****

Trivial...... I know but he was so rude & dimissive I didn't even get chance to say I'd bought the butterfly from him last year.

It was a shame that I only realised late on Saturday that I should have asked them to put a call on the tannoy for you & other MSE ladies so we could say hello in person.

Afternoon - better news than I'd expected for Mr Padster - his sugar was down to 13 and we have to try and control it through diet to start off with - he came home with a scabby diet sheet that would be enough to put anyone off but the Diabetes UK website is far better fortunately.

He did get a slap from me though as he used me an excuse not to give up smoking yet coz "She's only just given up and he didn't want me to start again and throw him back!!!!!!!"

Sounds like it was a good job I didn't go to Harrogate I hate and detest being squashed and elbowed - I treated myself to a Martha Stewart PATP set instead plus until hubs gets used to eating regularly I can't trust him not to disappear off to the pub :rotfl::rotfl:

Bonus should be that if he can't eat naughty stuff I won't buy it so I should be a shadow of my former self :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Sounds ok news about your OH, glad you gave him a slap, if I saw him he'd get a slap from me to after that comment about you giving up smoking  ;)

Harrogate sounds a nightmare with queues and being squashed, I thought the NEC was pretty bad.

Marg, that man sounds so rude, how does he expect to retain customers if he treats people like that. I will never buy anything from them, I like nice shops with nice owners/staff and do not like giving my money to 'orrible people ;)

Been busy with working, general 'housewife' stuff, OH's job not going too good at the mo :(, making sure DS2 is ok... I am knackered to put it nicely :p
