    Hi ladies,

Nothing crafty to share I am afraid :( (yes it is killing me to not craft :( and not through choice either)

Anyway, my consultant has finally looked at the scan pictures and the report from my MRI ... consultants secretary called this morning ... I need surgery straight away .... so she has provisionally booked me in for .... wait for it .... 27th June!! .... so just another 17 weeks to wait then :mad::mad::mad: by which point I will either be locked up in a lunatics asylum or will have jumped off a cliff from being driven insane by the pain!! ... either that or we will be homeless as I doubt OH's work will let him work from home for the next 17 weeks!! so he will end up losing his job and then losing the house .....

ETA he called private clinic and it will cost £5500 to get me fixed privately!! whoops!

Hey Rusty what's the op? Although I work for the private sector we do treat nearly 60% NHS patients and our guidelines are 6-18 weeks, if we go over that we get a slap on the wrist from the PCT, however the big NHS hospitals, once they get past the 18 weeks get s 'oh well try better on the next one'! I know of some specialities that have a 2 year waiting list, which is why i'm asking what the op is as 17 weeks may well be their idea of urgent if it's that speciality!!!
Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!

    Afternoon ladies,

It's a lovely sunny day here but it's blowing a gale outside & I am sure I saw some snow earlier on!!

Melissa Have you packed your bag yet?? If not, you better get a move on!

PepPop Thanks for the link to the site with all those templates!

Soma Congratulations on another DT post!

Louby Hope your little one gets better soon

Jowri Hope your eye gets better soon, it sounds very painful :(

Addams I was going to suggest trying to contact Choccy on bl*gger too as I know she posted a few days ago. Hopefully someone will come along that has a number for her as it sounds like you've tried everything else!

Rusty Glad they are going to do something about your back but for you to have to wait that long is ridiculous! How can they say that that is straight away!?!:mad: Like I said in an earlier post, I don't drive but I am sure I could find a bus to get along to Blyth if you need me to help you with anything (I'm just along in Cullercoats).

I've posted a card on my bl*g. It's not one of mine though, it is one that my Mam made. I've got a couple more cards to post later (I'm actually meant to be working from home at the moment, it's not my fault it's quiet though is it! lol)

I have resisted ordering from LOTV so far but only because I know that they'll have a stand at the GNPE in Harrogate in a couple of weeks time. If I'm not paying postage that means I have more money to spend on stash right! ;)

    Bye for now x

Just a quick note to say Choccy hasn't vanished - she's just had an awful lot going on (including being in hospital) and will be back when things settle down. I believe she & Addams have now made contact.

Congratulations Soma on the DT position

Louby - hope DS is a little better today

    Flying - lovely Popcorn card

Jowri - oww, glad it's getting better, it sounds really painful

Rusty - I can't believe the wait for an urgent operation (well I can, seeing as I used to be a nurse !). Can you not speak to your consultant again to see if anything can be done sooner ? Email me if you like xx

artydoll - gorgeous card, I love the crown

I went to the gps with my knee today, she's sending me for a scan as she said the swelling and pain should have gone by now - who knows how long I'll have to wait for that, but she has given me stronger paikillers :)

I was wondering if could pick your brains in this thread, so to speak.
I recently seem to have developed a kind of craft obsession.
However, I am think that I am still missing some basic items before I am able to make nice cards.
I have tred stamping images and coloring them, but I think I need some basic circle and oval cutting dies so that I can put them onto cards. So, my question is, are there any cheap cutting dies that you could recommend for this purpose? (I do have a die cutting and embossing machine)

My other question is, is there anywhere that sells pro markers cheaper than anywhere else? I bought a set of aqua markers, but I am not that impressed with them (or my skills yet) but I also got a 5 pack of proarkers on offer in hobby craft (5 pens for £7.50) and now I want more haha.

    Thank you in advance.

Marg - Yes thanks I have made contact with Choccy now. It sounds like she has been having a bit of a time of it lately.

Skiergirl - Hope the knee gets sorted out sooner rather than later

Rawr - There is somewhere that sells promarkers cheaper, but I cant remember where it was! Hopefully someone will be around who remembers. I have some nellie sneldon die cuts that are cheaper than some of the others. Its worth having a look on ebay though as there is sometimes some offers. Hope that helps.

The Mothers Day Challenge ends here on Sunday, so I thought I would list who I have who has entered. If I've missed anyone please let me know.
