Skiergirl - Harrogate is 19/20th March run by Craftwork Cards at the Showground on the outskirts of Harrogate, sorry don't know about Aintree. Hope your knee is improving - my brother did similar playing football took ages to get right. Do you see Tired Mum at the classes I seem to remember you used to go to the same one? She hasn't been here for ages.

ArtyDoll - sorry to hear about your DIL - I can hardly manage to walk on dry land without falling let alone ICE skating hope it isn't as bad as they fear.

Padster - OMG! are you ill? Cooking? Like your new tag line

Rusty - have you tried phoning Consultants secretary? They are the ones who have most control over appointments.

Melissa - wish I'd gone for a walk earlier it looked lovely out, sadly I had work to do. :(

Rusty I think you are definitely in enough pain for an urgent visit and take the oramorph if it's that bad! especially if it's impacting on your ability to look after your kids - thats awful!
  • putting two cardstocks of different colors together and binding them with a colored string bow makes a beautiful and simple card with lots of writing room! :)
  • Rusty Are you under a pain specialist or an orthopaedic specialist, or have they not referred you to anyone yet? I work for 3 pain specialists and if we get patients ringing us that are quite clearly in so much pain and we can't get them in to a clinic then we advise them to go straight to A&E.

RebekahR I really feel for you, I know what it's like to have a nightmare of a MIL (although we weren't married), saying that my current MIL is a bit of a nightmare too, which is why she doesn't have a key! Having a baby makes it 10 times worse btw!

This week hasn't been much better, i've been told by my consultants not to sign my new contract until they've tried to sort it out. Someone on here did suggest that maybe it was a way of getting rid of staff/cutting expenses, well today's trick was to send all the med secs who are self employed an email saying that from 1st March they have to pay £100 per week 'rent' of their office space. This affects one of the girls in our office so that is going to get sorted too. With their figures it means the hospital are going to make a pretty penny for very little work!

I've got tomorrow off work, half term week and i've not spent any time with my daughter. My ex (her dad) is now out of hospitals, he had to have a skin graft on tuesday, so she has been with him but is coming back for the day tomorrow for us to spend some time together, which will be nice!

Car Insurance paid out for my car, oddly told me I was getting less than I thought but then sent me the difference anyway!

I've got my medical for my compensation claim next thursday which if the physio does the same to me on saturday as he did last saturday, i'll be in agony for anyway!

Rant over.......cards will be made this weekend.......I really like the triple easal card that Create and Craft seems to be making a lot of at the moment, am going to give that a try so will let you know how I get on.

Hugs to all those that need it

    Hi Marg

Thanks for the info about Harrogate, though I suspect my knee won't be up to it by then. The hospital said 6 weeks but the pain isn't getting any better yet.

I last saw Tired Mom about a month ago, she manages to get to some of the workshops but is very busy with life at the moment and hasn't much time to craft or come on here I'm afraid :(

I went to the Harrogate show for the first time last september (?) I am off on holiday on 21st March so my hubby has said I can't go, even if I do have a free ticket as a member of craftworkcards!

Rusty hopethe pain is less severe today

Viclspence It does sound like they are trying to get rid of a few staff, I'm glad your union is involved and hope you get to fight this all the way

Artydoll Sorry to hear about your DIL hope she gets paid when off work

Rebekah Why do you let your MIL riffle through your cupboards?? What a rude woman! ... Do the same to her next time you are at her house :D

Marg I know what you mean about the stress!! Do the packing, buying toiletries, money, passport fairies come to your house too? :p
I would be gutted if I had to cancel a holiday, do you go with friends then? Still think you should book another as a replacement somewhere else maybe?

Skiergirl Sorry to hear about your knee, do you go skiing a lot? I went once to a ski school for beginners, scared the you know what out of me going on a 'proper' mountain

Have been very good so far and not ordered any craft stuff, although I have been lingering over Crafty Emmas store and another store can't remember which but Rusty posted a link on her blog and there is so much I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need
