Have to agree, surely it's a police matter, but as he'll be a minor they won't touch it and say its a school matter, either way, something needs to happen.

Viclspence enjoy spending your money on crafty things.

I bought my self a few new promarkers yesterday to cheer myself up as feel a bit yukky and I got my backdated pay rise from work today. Sorry if I've missed anyone can't really remember anything at the moment almost forgot to do everyone's wages at work today don't think that would have gone down well!!
  • Evening!
    Congratulations Aunty Rainmac.

Pirate style hugs marg -hope the op goes well.

Wanna B - I'm speechless - the only good that slip will do is if the little darling slips on it or accidentally chokes on it :p No wonder you're steaming plus it's Friday so you can't do anything about it for a couple of days.

Sorry this is late but Happy Birthday Tom's Mum

Forgot to say love the invite Flourgirl would be easy to add some colour if she wants some on it - spare a thought for my friend who has just received an invite order - she can do what she likes so long as it has an african grey parrot on it :):):) she's not had a lot of ideas yet
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

WBR, I would be fuming too if my son came home from school like that, he must be in such pain bless him :( Don't get fobbed off by the school missus xxx

The new family are all home now :), we're going to go down and see them on Sunday. I've made their card and have the scrapbook to finish off. Also have a cross stitch sampler to do but will start that next week ;)

  • Afternoon ladies. I won't linger cos I've got the right hump (infact that doesn't even describe it!). I thought coming on here might lift things a bit, but it hasn't so I'll be carp company until I sort things out! DS has been sent home from school at lunchtime because "he's had a nasty fall". When I went to collect him his face is covered in a mass of bloody/weeping grazes, he has a black eye, really fat lip and cuts inside his mouth - I could've cried! Anyway to cut a long story short the receptionist explained that there was some conflict as to what had happened - DS claimed he'd been punched really hard which had made him stumble and fall and the boy he was accusing said that he'd just tripped. When I got home I lifted DS shirt as he'd said that the punch was on his side/back and guess what there are clear knuckle marks!! Rang the school and they have just informed me that the boy will be given a behaviour slip - !!!!!!?? I've taken some photos of the knuckle marks and his face as I'm not leaving there, but need to calm down first. Sorry to be a grump :(

    Marg
    - hope things go well today and sorry about your hols.

Giggle - sorry about your kitchen

Rusty - glad dd is feeling better, lets hope it stays that way x

Rainmac - congratulations to you and your family. x

Glittermum - congrats and hope it goes well for you.

Sorry if I've missed anyone - off to steam a bit more now!

Take photos and report to the police - it is assault.

There is very little that schools can do now, it is really difficult for them to exclude pupils. (I work in a school) I would ring the police and let the school know that you are doing so!

Hate to read and run but just had to say...

WBR That is a disgrace!!! I mean if they were older the bully would be charged with GBH but because they're young and at school it supposed to be ok!! I would phone your local police station over the weekend anyway and ask their advice - even if it's just to give the school a fright - I mean a slip - what use is that to anyone  Ooh it makes me angry! (ok I'm getting down of my soapbox and off for a cuppa) Hugs to you and DS

Thankyou ladies for your lovely comments I just hope the lady likes it as much. I did ask about colour scheme but she said no, just plain will be fine. I have made 2 different inserts 1 traditional and 1 contemporary (thanks CT and Rainmac for the links) I have printed the wording in grey as I thought it might look softer than black and my DH was impressed :) I will tell you tomorrow what she said when I get home from work.

WBR Oh how awful for your son to have gone through that today, poor thing, it sounds like first degree bullying. Good idea to take the photographs.

My little grandaughter (3) fell into a table at preschool last friday and is sporting 2 black eyes a swollen nose and a lump on her forehead!! Bless her, she is ok now and quite proud to show her granny the bruises, but she needed 2 visits to A&E on friday.

WBR, gentle hugs for your little one and huge hugs for you, you must must must take photos of your little lamb's bruises and show them to the school head, no messing with any underling, the head and no one else, stand your ground as this is such a serious matter that a young one could inflict this type of injury. A talk with the local police won't hurt as the perpetrator could be a budding young thug if he can hand out this kind of stuff and his parents need to know as well. I am so sorry for DS and for you too.

I got to see and have mega smega cuddles with Megan, my great niece today, it's funny how silly you talk as soon as you have a teeny weeny in your arms, she posed for lots of photos too. She smiled lots and it defo wasn't wind!
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!
