Marg - Hope all goes well with the op.
It's my mums 50th next month and i sort of have an idea for a card but have no idea how to start! I'm thinking of keeping it simple but bold with just the number on the front but the number cut into the card if that makes any sense! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Giggle - Gosh sounds like you were lucky. Can you claim on your insurance? Or is it not worth it

Afternoon ladies. I won't linger cos I've got the right hump (infact that doesn't even describe it!). I thought coming on here might lift things a bit, but it hasn't so I'll be carp company until I sort things out! DS has been sent home from school at lunchtime because "he's had a nasty fall". When I went to collect him his face is covered in a mass of bloody/weeping grazes, he has a black eye, really fat lip and cuts inside his mouth - I could've cried! Anyway to cut a long story short the receptionist explained that there was some conflict as to what had happened - DS claimed he'd been punched really hard which had made him stumble and fall and the boy he was accusing said that he'd just tripped. When I got home I lifted DS shirt as he'd said that the punch was on his side/back and guess what there are clear knuckle marks!! Rang the school and they have just informed me that the boy will be given a behaviour slip - !!!!!!?? I've taken some photos of the knuckle marks and his face as I'm not leaving there, but need to calm down first. Sorry to be a grump
Marg - hope things go well today and sorry about your hols.
Giggle - sorry about your kitchen
Rusty - glad dd is feeling better, lets hope it stays that way x

CT - I have done a card, but cant post it till tomorrow if thats ok.
That is fine Addams, challenge closes at midnight tomorrow, so your in time.
I'll put up another list of entries in the morning, just incase I have missed anyone else off the list, apologies if I have.
Thank you all so much for entering we have 25 so far so I think that is fab. The kids are arguing about who is going to pick a winner already, so I have told them whoever is the nicest to me between now and first thing Sunday:rotfl:. I am sure they will start off being little angels, but not sure it will last until Sunday!2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Rainmac Congrats on becoming an auntie. Not sure why but I congratulated you a day or so ago - shruggy shoulders - probably misread a post or got mixed up, not hard for me :rotfl: .
Marg Oooh, poor you, I live in dread having anything to do with eyes happening after hearing about my mom's cataract operations - fair makes me shudder! Anyway, I hope all goes well and that you can get away on a holiday soon.
Rusty Good to hear DD is on the mend, nothing worse than poorly littlies is there?Morning, Hope everyone is ok. I had a bit of a fire in my kitchen last nite and now my house stinks and the worst bit was i did loads of washing yesterday and it was all in the kitchen all ready to be put away and now that all stinks and needs to be washed again hours spent ironing for nothing
Glad the damage was minimal, shame your ironing was wasted though. Glad your dog recovered quickly. This is my first day up for a week as even though I had my flu jabs I got it anyway  .
Sorry to snip you. So sorry you've been poorly, I truly sympathise. I didn't have flu but a really horrible virus so big hugs to you and get well soon.
Still haven't managed to blog hop yet, hopefully I'll manage some over the weekend so there might be a few random comments here and there. If I haven't commented I haven't visited, I'm not ignoring you :rotfl: . I'm making hay while the sun shines. We've had such gorgeous sunny days that I'm taking Poppy out while I can. It's so nice to be out in the fresh air and sunshine.
I hope everyone else is having this lovely sunshine.
ETA: WBR OMG, that's awful, your poor DS. Make sure you take those photos to school, something surely needs to be done, definitely more than a behaviour slip!0 -

Ooh Wanna Be Rich - I am so sorry to hear about what has happened to your son. I would be fuming, and how the school can think that the injuries your son has got came from just 'tripping over', from what you described, I immediately thought that he had been hit. Sending you and your DS, massive hugs - hope he is feeling better soon and that it is sorted out by the school to your satisfaction xxx2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

WBR That's awful. I was bullied all through my school life, was once pushed off a fence that I was sat on and all I got from school was that I shouldn't be sat on it in the first place, I also once got smacked round the face after a jaw operation by a lad, which again, the college I was at did nothing about as at the age of 17 I should be able to stick up for myself. The one thing that got me through it was that my mum helped me and spoke to school and college if I needed her too, all you can do is be there for you DS.
On a lighter note I finally got my refund for my cricut and gypsy (after being told on tuesday it would take a week or two) so now have £400 + to spend. It was an xmas present to myself so have to respend it
Don't know what to buy though. We have a Hobby Craft in Leeds which is usually quite good so will have to go look tomorrow. Should probably put it with my car money to buy a better car but that's just boring.
I does mean i have about 7 cartridges to see that had been sycd to the gypsy. Are there any fellow MSE's that may be interested? I'm happy to take a nominal fee for them if you want to PM me, otherwise i'll put them on ebay. If you PM me I can tell you what i've got.Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -
Flourgirl-I think the wedding invitation is lovely - really classy!
Marg - so sorry about your hol - hope everything gets sorted though.
Giggle - glad to hear the fire wasn't too bad - and that your dog is OK!
OAP - what a pain getting flu after having the jab - hope your recovery is swift though.
WBR - that is awful about your DS. I'm sure a behaviour slip will sort it all out though (don't know what to use for a sarcastic smilie!)
Viclspence - there is no way you can put that money towards a car - it must be used for crafting non essentials!0 -
