Thanks guys. I just had to tell you all - I'm so chuffed for him.

Rainmac was the tealight card easy to do - I was gonna make some as Christmas cards with cinnamon scented candles but I ran out of time, I thought they would be really complicated?
  • Afternoon ladies. Quick visit from me as I've been out with the girls all day, so will have to quickly polish the rads so that OH thinks I've been busy ;)

Rainmac - fab news about your mum, really pleased for you. I'm glad the link I posted was of some use and aren't they easy to make?? I can't wait to have a nosy at yours :)

    Louby
    - glad you got somewhere with your son I hope he's ok. x

Craftygranny - glad to hear that some else has used the duty of care statement too and super impressed that you didn't take no for an answer.

    Tomsmum
    - what is it with dogs and disgusting smelling things? I looked after my brothers dog and he rolled in sheeps poop and then ate it - yukkk

Rusty - in reply to comment on my blog the answer is of course yes. I'm hoping I've sussed your likes and dislikes out ;)

Peppop - congrats to Mr Peppop - that's fab news x

I'm sure I've missed someone, so huge apologies. Anyway hugs to all, I'm off to do some fake cleaning :)

:jYa - well done to Mr PepPop:j - that is such fab news. So glad to hear that he is doing so well in his new job.

Glittermum and KMS - thanks for the pay it forward. And to Marg - I know you love us!

With the forum down tomorrow, I am finally going to attempt to do a sock monkey and a few other crafty ideas. Hopefully the boys football will be cancelled again, and then I can play all day!
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Haven't been around this much - last time I caught up with the thread I was going to keep on top of it, but it went to pot this week as I was in London seeing specialists. Got diagnosed with a few things like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (Hypermobility), postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and confirmed Fibromyalgia and Myofacial Pain. They have put me forward for Trigger Point Injections (which I had two of at the time in my shoulders, and it seems to have helped) and also a three week intensive intreatment programme. So was feeling all happy and positive when we got called into a meeting today to say we're probably all going to be made redundant.

Obviously, it's never nice to hear - but I can only work three days - and it can only be Monday/Wed/Fri in order to have a day to collapse inbetween each. I need equipment, and I can only walk for a couple of minutes. So, my chances of getting a job are slim to none. The thought of living off £50 a week again (apparently things cost less for under 25s?) is horrific.

So I need some cheering up!

Also - my grandad has asked me to make a card with a football referee on it. I've hunted high and low, and can't seem to find anything. Has anyone spotted anything on this theme on their travels please? Even just a nice cartoonish picture of a ref, as when I looked they all looks a bit funny, or Americanised.

i really feel for you, surely you can claim other benefits if you can't work full time due to health issues.

As for referee images trimcraft Smirk collecition has a male collection part of which is a football theme, not sure if I would say there were referees though but worth a look

Thank you very much. No, no benefits. I was turned down for Disability Living Allowance because my mum is my carer. They said they accepted I was disabled, but believed my mum was caring for me out of love, not out of need. The biggest load of rubbish I'd ever heard. I'm on minimum wage anyway, plus can only work three days as said - so of course have no savings.

My weekly treatment to help manage my pain comes to £50 a week as it is, plus if I couldn't run my car I'd be housebound. So am pretty devastated right now.

that;s atrocious and is a prime example of how the benefit system doesn't work for those who need it! I don't really know what to say, I think MP's should take a reality pill and start looking at the people who need the benefits! Sorry, slightly gone off the crafting theme haven't we

Not sure how they work out their pricing!

I'll upload some of my cards to my special place tomorrow:cool:

Good evening ladies!!! I just wanted to say a big thank you to those that have commented on my blog, I know I have been absolutely useless at keeping up on here recently so I really appreciate your effort!!!! I really enjoyed making my card - I just hope my mojo has now returned!! I've had a little spend recently - I bought the Lost and Found papers by MME - I've been lusting after those for ages and when I saw them on offer I couldn't resist! I've also ordered some seam binding which seems to be the latest fad when it comes to ribbon so I can't wait for that to arrive! So far I have resisted ordering some new LOTV stamps but I think I might just cave in this weekend and order a couple - I love the cute fairies!

Rusty - thanks for the heads up re the ladybug blog - I've entered my card now!

Rainmac - you tealight card is fabulous - what a thoughtful idea!!! I think I might try to make one myself. I'm so pleased for you and your family - what great news about your Mum!!!!!

Artydoll - am I right in thinking that you've set a flowery challenge on here???? If so could I enter my glittery card please???? Its on my bloggg! Congratulations on getting your card featured on crafty ribbons - it was such a clever idea to wrap the ribbon around the figure!

PepPop - congratulations to your OH!!!!

CT19720 - good luck with your sock monkey!!!!!

Jazabelle - I'm glad to hear that your new treatment is helping your pain, but I'm so sorry to hear about your position at work. I can't believe that you weren't offered any help - its disgusting!

Viclspence - I'm glad to hear you managed to retrieve your stash - sorry I don't think we've met before!!! Great news about the £800 - something similar happened to my sister - she was really chuffed.

Gemm - that's fab news about your job!!!!
