On slightly different note does anyone know what happens when you order something from QVC which is on offer, the package then goes missing in transit and you have to re-order and the price has gone up substantially? I'm wondering if I've got a rubbish operator or wether I'm being unreasonable in expecting to receive a replacement item at the price that I originally ordered it at?? :/

I would expect to receive a replacement at no extra cost to me, not unreasonable at all. Or is it as far as QVC are concerned...?

We believe he is in the system as such and outside help shall we say maybe involved but again we are not allowed to ask or know about this. Last time we were told he had lost his lunch time play for a week and to have compassion for him and his mother
We were only told that because i had a very heated chat with the head.

Today i kept my cool and played it by ear. I don't think anything more will be said to us. The school seems like they don't want to admit they have this child that they can't handle.

I want ds if he is ok to go to school 2moz as i don't want him to be scared of him and i want the school to see how bad he looks too. But i am worried if he knocks it or if he gets him again. It just breaks my heart my baby looking like he has done a couple of rounds with mike tyson. He is only 5 bless him.

I agree that we should have compassion for him and his mum but also believe your son shouldn't be in any unnecessary danger when at school. I really would book a meeting with the head and ask what the school is going to do to ensure this doesn't happen again. I was imagining your son being 10 or 11 not 5, bless him. I would be at the school like a shot. You're not trying to make trouble or nosing into the other boy's business, just making sure your own child is ok x

Thanks, I thought that, but then thought maybe I was being unreasonable as it's not their fault that it got lost either, but I'm assuming that the courier company will re-imburse the lost package, so they're not losing out financially (does that make sense??). I think I might try ringing them again in the morning.

If it's any help we get this a lot at work and when we tell the supplier they refund us or replace it free of charge and take up a claim with the carrier and only if the carrier can prove that we signed for the goods do we have a problem. If you're gonna phone them and they get stroppy then ask them to supply you with a copy of the Proof Of Delivery.

Giggle and Louby ditto on what everyone says. If this child has problems then they are not yours and no concern of yours and the only consideration is your child. If he enjoys going to school why should he be in fear of another boy and suffer because of it. Tell me to get off me soapbox as I could go on for hours.

Make quite plain to the head that you will not stand back and let your little one take the unnecessary actions of another child. As for compassion, BLAH! the other child wasn't brought up knowing that his actions could harm others. I went to a large comprehensive school in a rough part of south London and we never had anything like what goes on now and its only in the last few years that I've learnt about these problems that little kids have.

Wifey, get DOWN off that soapbox now!!!

well what an eventful afternoon i have had. I just sat down at comp emailed rusty and stamped 2 images thinking i was going to have a good crafting session when

(Btw sorry i didn't reply to you rusty about the god parent images. I found a nice stamp i had forgotten about so wil use that thanks.)

when the phone went, it was the school. Ds1 had been hit and pushed over in the play ground by another boy and smashed his head on the floor. They said come and get him and please do not delay it is very serious  I was panicking wondering what i was going to see. Thankfully it wasn't as bad a i thought but they said it had really gone down just in the short time i took to get there. Took him docs and they are a little concerned he may have concussion. He was slurring his words a bit but passed all the other tests, just keeping an eye on him.

Don't know what to do about the school as the boy who did it has done it before and i had a run in the the school.
They insist he isn't targetting him and say he gets punished but we don't see any evidence of this other than he lost his friday free time last time.
It is difficult as they say we are not allowed to discuss other children with them and this includes punishment even if regards our own childs saftey. Things seem to get swept under the carpet.

Also another factor is the child may have ADHD or have some form of austism so we have to tread carefully.

Personally I would go in all guns blazing, that is very serious and I had similar problems myself with a child at my sons old school, he had him by the throat and slammed him up against the wall, I had to beg the dr's to let him come home as he was distraught and scared that he had to stay in hospital. I kept him off school and went in the next day all guns blazing to the head teacher whether it is difficult or not you are his mum and you have every right to question things when it is your childs safety!!

If the order went astray then QVC have to honour the price if you want it replaced, whether it has to be re ordered or not! You bought at that time at that price, it is their problem. You can either have a replacement product at no extra cost, or a full refund including postage! Good luck! xxx
