Just a quick hello to you all. Not quite there yet but getting a bit better each day. I'm hoping to take Poppy out soon, it's not raining but looks very damp in the air so I'll wrap up well. She's not been out for weeks either as she started her season on Xmas Eve but it's finished now so we can take our first steps out together :rotfl: .
You're all chatting too much I can't keep up but sending you all hugs.
Just spent my Christmas money from son and d-i-l. Not crafty stuff this time but I was waiting for my moisturiser to come on offer at Boots. It normally comes on 3 for 2 every so often, I checked this morning and the offer is buy one for £8.16, buy two for £8 . Well, I filled me boots, would have been rude not to. Bought enough for free home delivery too :T.0 -

It's pink and black and weighs a hefty amount
So I had got some dies I bought in the Hobbycraft sale but I am confused as how to use the multipurpose platform. I used a Sizzlits Die on the number 1 tab, sandwiched between the plastic cutting plates. Now it cut the image fine (although I was worried I was going to break the machine as it went through) but it's actually cut an impression on the plastic cutting plate - it's this correct?!
I confess I haven't found the instructions to be that user friendly
I have a Bigz die which I believe you don't use the multipurpose platform for? I've got extra long sizzlits which I need the long cutting plates for and some Texturz plates which I need the Impressions kit for so I think I understand those. But I also bought a couple of Papermania embossing folder and stencil and I have no idea how to layer these up.
Can anyone give me or point me in the direction of an Idiot's Guide to using the Big Shot and the various dies?
Many thanks.
Bitsy is it the black and pink Big Shot you've got or the Spellbinders Calibur?
Squidge here's a place to have a lookee when the crafter's block comes along, check out the gallery and if you are looking for something specific, pop your query into the search box. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Well I went to SW the other evening and things were worse than I'd anticipated! So I've been a good girl today and done an hour in the gym!! However, I have a feeling that I will be in agony tomorrow! The postie arrived today with piles of mail for me some dated the 12/12 - so I now have new Promarkers (just replacement colours), ejector foam, new ink blenders, more alcohol inks, some new stamps and a credit card bill!! Have been really good and tidied it straight away so that DH doesn't spot my new arrivals!!
Bitstybeans - congrats on your new arrival
Squidge - you have another stalker and like everyone else says just look through blogs and mags and if that fails, leave things for a while.
Tomsmum - glad you're feeling better.
Rainmac - still no sign of your nephew yet then? Doesn't he know that he's not only kepping his aunty waiting but the whole this forum!
Thank you to everyone who has posted links. I can't remember what else I've read - obviously my sugar levels have dropped far too low, so hugs to anyone that needs one x
