Sorry not got time just now to do a 'proper' post BUT

Addams - Can you tell me more about the foam for the Marianne butterfly dies please - I've got No 3 and have yet to get a decent one cut out for myself! ie where do I get it from?

PONR - I'm happy to cut some for you once I master the skill!

Dragonllew - the ones you cut for me last year were fab -which is why I treated myself to the die. x

Hope to be back on later.........

Thanks Marg - that's kind of you, would love a few!!!

Viclspence I bought (OH did!) the same system but C & C do spout on about being a recognised seller of Provocraft so should actually be able to do something for you. Have you been on the Cricut Forum www.cricut.com and follow the link about this problem. Did you phone Provocraft in the US or is there a number in Europe? (just for my info) I'm sure you are right about not being able to re-link them

Personally, I followed advice on the Cricut forum about NOT linking my carts to the Gypsy. If you sync regularly you'll get all the new carts as they come out so perhaps just getting a new Gypsy might be the answer, you still will have all your cartridges and you will be able to use them. I think you have to insert the particular cart in the Cricut when it finds a design on the Gypsy that you want to cut.

I hope this makes sense to you and if I can help any further, pm me and I'll send you my email addy

thanks i rung the europe helpline thats on the box, its an 0804 number and when you ring it it rings as if its an international number.

Provocraft said that you can't linc the carts to another gypsy but that they can re-serialise the gypsy so that they work.

How do you use the gypsy with the cartridges if you don't link to it? Presumably this would be by having it connected to the cricut all the time which isn't really what i was after.

Thanks for all your help though, i will look at the forum you have mentioned.

Wanna-be - The tan mats worked with the texture plates. I used 2 tan mats and instead of the impression pad I used one of the cutting mats and it worked fine. So at least I dont have to buy anything else at the moment!

Got the ironing done and the card started. Then ..
My DS PS3 decided to give up. It had the yellow light syndrome, which when I called playstation, they knew what it was straight away and said something was corrupt. The cost of repair £131! We werent sure, so he said they could give him a sweetner of more memory on the reconditioned one they would replace it with. DS had been complaining for some time about not enough space, so that was it. I am now £131 poorer! The only thing is he has lost all his saves, so will have to start again on all his games! He will get his new PS3 on Wednesday, so very quick service and open on a bank holiday too!
    May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
    Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£155

All of the available cartridges should be on your Gypsy, follow the various links on the website (I'll track 'em down for you if you need them) and get your Gypsy synced up and it will also put 5 free ones on it for you to design with. Must be done by the end of this month for the free ones. You don't need your cartridges linked to design on the Gypsy with, only when you need to cut anything. The other cartridges are on your Gypsy in the hope you may buy them. When you put your Gypsy on and have set up the cricut mat, click down in the bottom right hand corner and you should see them all. Have you connected your Gypsy to the internet to register it?

hi thanks for replying, the Gypsy is actually broken and needs to be returned to ideal world who said that if they send me another Gypsy and Cricut (as i bought it as a bundle I have to return the whole bloody lot) i will be able to relink all the cartridges that were linked to the original Gypsy, but Provocraft say that this isn't true and when you link the cartridges for the first time the Gypsy says the same thing.

i'm not holding my breath that I will get a replacment as they don't have the same bundle on their website any more!
