Artydoll, my entry to the Valentine challenge is on my you know what x
Rusty, sounds like you've had a great Xmas, apart from your DS being poorly
Bunbun, ouch, not what you want at Christmas when nowhere is open, hope the antibiotics start kicking in soon xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
hope everyone has had a fab Christmas
I too have had a look through the craft sales and nothing really shouts out "buy me" I have ordered the do crafts magazine (thanks rainmac) so maybe I will be bit more inspired.
our Christmas was very quiet. ds2 had a temperature and was asleep by 6pm. my wisdom tooth decided to become infected on Christmas eve so I have had a very painful week and def haven't overeaten as it hurts too much:( it has been the longest bank holiday ever till I could get to the dentist's. I now have antibiotics so hopefully it will clear up soon.
rusty what nesties did you get?
Sending hugs mrs xxx ... nesties I got, lacy circles, inverted scallop circles, lacy squares (these were freebies) labels 10, and labels 17cgcockcroft wrote: »hi guys, i hope you ave a had a great christmas, mine was slightly different to normal, my mum fell asleep at 9pm, but she had done well to stay awake that late. unfortunately on boxing day we walked around to my aunties and my auntie was hugging my mum to say thank you, but did it on the head!!?? we were worried about the children accidently touching her head, and it was a my aunty! so that wiped her out out for the next 2 days. i'm back at home now and i have to say i'm thankful but feel sorry for my dad dealing with it everyday, as her short term memory isn't working at the moment but she won't acknowledge it all the time. but enough family stuff and back to the craft!
santa husband bought me some promarkers, 1 double so i need to arrange some swaps at some point. an A3 blue cutting mat (quite a challenge as the majority are all pink or green!) we went to hobby craft and bought some bargains, that i will photo and put on the blog at some point.
but whilst i'm here i wonder if any of you have any examples of a wedding card i can make for my sister in law. thank you in advance x
rusty the little surprise gift still hasn't arrived, i think the postie doesn't like you posting things to me.
tomsmom i'm so glad that your dh was allowed home for christmas xxx
Oh no, sending hugs to you, hope your mum is better soonmust be awful! ... Can't believe the packet didn't arrive?? I give up, I think I might stop posting things as I had 2 parcels missing from ebay sales aswell!! ...
Well I went to boundary mill and spent another £45  some christmassy bits reduced, but some lovely boy papers which I can't remember what they are called, and 9 rolls of DST which was all they had, although 3 of those are for bunbun. Been to get my ring resized today and ended up ordering a completely different one in 3 coloured gold, still the same size but OH asked me to choose which I preferred as he just got standard gold but as we are having it made then I got to choose :j
Hope everyone is ok?
P.S Giggle thanks for the price info ... anyone know where I can get one?? online??Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Must have been difficult for your mum and the family too. Sending you big hugs.
I can't stand the mess any longer, going to have a big clear up tomorrow and try and get some order back. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hello all :j Just trying to catch up on who's done what.
I've done not a lot due to bad back and with OH suffering from his fracturered pelvis we're a real pair of old crocks. Still we get through.
He's now got deep vein thrombosis to add to everything so its a trip to hospital tomorrow for ultra sound scan.......he's had to inject himself since christmas eve..........hates it but won't let me do it.
Can see January being full of trips to Lincoln.......but not shopping !:(
rainmac - just looked at your blog.........how do you do that sort of stitching round the card ? I love that effectI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Oh MaryBig hugs to you and Mr Mary xxx
Not sure which stitching you mean but you can do false stitching with a pen or real with thread. I tend to do it (when I do) by pricking holes in the paper with a pokey tool and then use a needle & thread to backstitch. You can do false stitching by just making dash lines with a pen or making holes and then joining them up with pen lines like here. Does that help? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Hope your mum is ok. I too had promarkers, from Santa son, but he lost the list, so I got 2 doublers now.
I have just made an engagement card for my friend using promarkers, and although it wouldn't be to everybody's taste she loves it (can be seen on my blog in case it prompts any ideas for an "alternative" wedding card)0
