Morning ladies hope you're all safe and well! I had no internet for most of yesterday again, but the good news is my phone is finally back on, but for how long who knows!! My poor neighbour still has no phone or internet. However, being without the phone has made realise that I don't actually miss it, but being without the internet was like having my arms cut off! Just a quick reminder to everyone that's interested that TODAY is the last chance for you to enter my £35 CSN giveaway on my blog. I will draw the winner tomorrow and get the voucher out to you asap, so that hopefully your goodies will be with before Christmas.
Marg - I take it that postie still hasn't been?
Padster - thanks for the update re S C U N thorpe. He's in Nottingham today and somewhere else tomorrow (I struggle to remember which day of the week it's, so how he remembers where he's supposed to be lord only knows! Good job I'm not his PA)
Choccie - Congratulations. I'm afraid that I thought the same as Rustyonly cos you don't look or seem old enough to be a noonie!
Rusty - what a lovely hubby you have! so sorry I didn't get to enter your challenge, but didn't know about it until Dragonlew mentioned the closing date and then didn't have the time. Hope you're back recovers.
Thrifty - LOL at your Rusty comment x
The - Wife - hope your feeling better and can soon come off of the steriods
KMS - congrats on the DT position
I'm sorry I can't remember what else I've read, this thread moves so fast and unless I visit on a daily basis there's just too much info for my poor little brain to digest! I'm off to scrub the kitchen floor now - joy of joys!0 -

Morning all .. ooh look at me, twice in just over 12 hours! :rotfl:
Congrats choccy but I did already say that after I accused you of having a baby! LOL ... I was close though!
I am going to apologise, as unorganised as I am, there won't be christmas cards for everyone this year!! I just haven't got the time to make so many as much as I would love to!! I am sorry!
Oh is waiting for his chopper home :j well back to aberdeen!!
If anyone is living in Aberdeen then I can fully recommend the paperterie and the paper pad that they sell for stamping, It is £2.50 and is approx 100 sheets, but it doesn't bleed with copocs or promarkers, so get yourself over there! OH should be coming home with 10 pads for me, although 2 of them are for bunbun!
I have sat and made up a gift for a friend today, just got to get it posted, I have ebay orders coming out of my ears, and I am stressed as the place looks like a bomb site!!
Anyone need a settee? I posted it on freecycle and no takers! I need it shifted so we can have a christmas tree!!
Marg - Replied to your email xxxRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Choccy - Extra squirty cream is always good!! Congratulations on becoming a granny!
Marg - Brandys good, but must have cream!
Georgiegirl - great cards. Love the let it snow one and the image on the welcome one is fantastic.
Rusty - Hope the new sofa looks good. Have a lie down on it to help your back! A full set of copics, wow fantastic, have fun playing! That green monsters here again!
Wifey - Glad the tablets are starting to work.
DD was a bit upset after her saxophone exam yesterday, she thought it didnt go very well. We didnt have to wait very long to find out that she passed her grade 5 and wasnt far off a merit. The lady who teaches her has the exams in her house and the examiner lets her know whether they have all passed or not. Its alot better than having to wait a few weeks to get the results. So DD is chuffed and now wants to do grade 5 theory, grade 6 saxophone and start playing the clarinet as well as the saxophone and guitar that she already plays!
Dont want to think about what temperature it is outside. We have the heating going on full blast and its nice and cosy inside. Got to go out later on this afternoon and DS has a sixth form open evening tonight. I cant believe he will be going into 6th form next year, it seems like no time at all since he was just starting school!
Anyway must be off, hugs to all. xxMay - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550 -
Congratulations Choccy :j. Love the Noonie name! When our first grandchild was born (to DD) we wanted to be Nana and Popsy. Wasn't to be. Son-in-law took exception to Popsy, saying if anyone should be Popsy it would be him! Twit! So we're plain old Nan and Grandad
.
Addams Well done to your DD :T, she must be very talented if she wants to take up a third instrument. I would have loved to be musical. I had a year's piano lessons from OH for my 50th birthday and TBH I didn't learn much then decided I couldn't keep up the expense.
Rusty Wow, what a lovely gift from you OH. You wouldn't like to loan him out would you, I'd love a surprise like that!
Goodness Wifey, I've just seen the time of your post. OH and I have both had steroids in the past but they've never done that to either of us.
Georgiegirl Your cards are lovely, I particularly like the Welcome card with the houses and the poppy one is lovely.
I've got a couple of cards done but the photos I've taken are pretty rubbish, worse than usual. I'll see if OH can get better ones at the weekend. I'm much more organised while he's away :rotfl: , I was out on the beach with Poppy at 10.30 this morning, I've just got the kitchen to clean then the rest of the day is mine! I should probably start writing my Christmas cards, I've been saying that every day for a week now!0 -
CHOCCY congrats on your news and i will admit i wondered the same as Rusty to start with lol. Then i thought maybe you'd had a lottery win, or got a super crafty job with loads of freebies.
ADDAMS Congrats to your dd on passing her exam.
WIFEY Hope you feel better soon and can get to york at the weekend.
RUSTY If you'd put it on my freecycle you'd have had loads of takers lol. I put 2 couches on for my son when he moved from the apartment and got nearly 200 replies.lol Copics whoo lucky girl and not even xmas yet.
My son used to work in aberdeen why didn't i find out about this place then. lol
PADSTER Sounds like your road is like mine we've had no post for nearly 2 weeks and i'm waiting for loads of stuff to be delivered .Hopefully postie will brave us today. I still can't go out the road is a little better so was hoping we could go out but when we started the car up the diesel came splooshing all over the path . The extreme temperatures have perished the rubber fuel pipes so we'll have to get some and replace them.
Georgiegirl . Welcome and lovely cards .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Yaaayyy, Oonie the Loonie Noonie secret is OUT :j :j :j Choccy, I think you should set a baby card challenge when the baby arrives
I've had car trouble this morningA flat tyre  Good news is that OH has taken my car to work with the spare on and said he'll sort out getting it fixed during the day and I have his car which is soooo much nicer than mine.
Big hugs to everyone, we've had snow today but not much, hope it stays that way. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Flourgirl, and anyone else near the A1 if it get's a bit breezey tomorrow around about mid-day that'll be me waving to you as I travel up the A1 on the way up to Yorkieshire to spend time with my three Yorkie bunnies! Hurrah! Into York on Friday for a secret treat my daughter has arranged and then a bit of shopping in town and lunch. Saturday over to Dunelm Mills at Clifton Moor and the Poundshop next door and then back into York in the evening for the Festival of Angels with the little ones. Ouch! My purse hurts already !! Anytime over hopefully I'll be doing some crafting. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

Have fun Wifey - sounds like a lovely trip. I'm trying to do my last few online shopping bits and failing miserably, I'm far too easily distracted0
