Congrats CT - new job sounds ideal :j
Louby - my years of playground politics are long gone thank goodness - yep the Mums are worse than the kids. Great advice there from Wifey. For some reason you have become a "food source" to this bully. She is passive-aggressive which is sometimes worse than someone who is overtly aggressive. Try to take away whatever is "feeding" her - don't let her sense that she upsets you in any way - smile, laugh, be pleasant, polite, shoulders back and stand tall.
Failing that - another one here offering the services of a Glasgow kiss armed with a green cuttlebug.
Absolutely love your card by the way, Thriftyxxx0 -
CT, huge well done to you :j
Flourgirl, I used this one (nice easy clues!) x
My crafting started late as my boys were not wanting to go to bed so I've got as far as printing some images. May leave the colouring till tomorrow night:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
hi guys, rusty the baby was 7lbs.
just got back from visiting my mum. the good news is they don't think it's cancerous. they are operating on tuesday. she seemed alot better today and my head is slightly less full. but why is it as a female you get all the crappy jobs to do like bill paying and ironing, and told be careful around your brother, ' he doesn't handle things well'. i know it's a silly thing to be annoyed about at a time like this but it just annoys me. i have been looking at your blogs but i'm sorry i haven't commented. thank you for still looking at mine. it has really helped making cards today x0 -

Hope it all goes well for your mum - it's good news that they think it isn't cancer. My thoughts are with you xxxxxThe E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Wow! Rusty, what an awful person, perhaps MIL should inform the lady concerned about the wonders of Youtube and isn't funny how things fron CCTV cameras get posted on there. The Camberwell and Glasgow Kiss and Cuttlebug are always available if nothing else works.
Marg, I'm exactly the same on the phone, if someone annoys me (truly, it does take a lot) by being rude or not taking no for an answer, I stand up and give them a piece of my mind. I can't stand pushy sales people. Funny how quickly they go away when I ask them in my best snooty Camberwell voice (not!)to be allowed to converse with their line manager.
Congratulations CT for the new job, sound like it's perfect for you.
Such good news for your Mum, CG. Sending you massive hugs and a sigh of relief. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
CGC - It's good they don't think it's cancerous and that your Mum seems a tad better - probably that something is being done and knowing what she is facing will help - for you too.
I'm afraid that in my experience 'tasks' always fall to one sibling and usually it's the eldest girl and unless you emigrate it ain't going to change
CT - :j:j Congratulations on your new job:j:j I hope it works out much better for you than the last one. The hours seem perfect for school and some 'me' time.0 -
CG Sorry to hear about your Mum, sending you massive hugs ((((((xxxxx))))))
Thankyou to Karencooke, Rusty and Louby for entering my challenge. Fabulous cards girls as always.
Rusty thanks for pointing out the LB Ink challengeI have been sorting out my stamped images and found lots of the Ladybug ones you have stamped for me, so maybe I will enter some more of their challenges.
Rainmac I hope you enjoy your evening of crafting, can't wait to see your makes.
You have an LCI stamp anyway mrs, think it is this one you have, I seem to recall you sent me some stamped images and I always wondered where it came from, then when I discovered Kerry and became part of her DT I saw itRusty the blue box on my HP has been cut on the Robohave you found your mat?
Rainmac Could you point me in the right direction for a Christmas Crossword to download please.
Love the blue boxnot found my mat, but found a pack of 2 for just under £17 so as soon as I have some money I will buy 2! we are supposed to be sorting through my craft stuff so it may appear then
Louby - sorry to hear of your playground woes - I think Wifey's advice is very sound - I was taught to stand up in the office if I was speaking to a difficult customer on the phone - even if they can't see you it gives you an air of authority. It's a pity you didn't speak to her 'as normal' because she would have had to move away if she had issues or speak to you.
Rusty - How nasty of that girl you'd think she'd be ashamed & keep a low profile wouldn't you? Could your MIL block her number on her phone? - I've no idea really but phones can do most things these days. (shruggy shoulder thingy). Oh! just remembered about PP Paper will have a little look.
Rainmac - hope you have a good crafty evening - not sure if I will be crafting or watching Downton Abbey - TV doesn't look good.
Thanks Marg, my MIL isn't bothered by her she thinks that she is doing it to get a reaction from family members, i.e my SIL and myselfwell she has got one LOL
I had forgotten to reply to your email about the PP paper!!! sorry
CT - Congratulations on your new job! :j :j

P.S can anyone recommend me a place which does address labels? I know Rainmac & The-Wife both use them, where did you get yours from?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Sorry to snip you Rusty but thought this might help if this is the sort of thing you're after. We got some from here years ago when we had the restaurant, I had some printed on gold for that. I also had some printed on clear for the back of my cards when I used to sell them. I was very happy with the service and quality. Scroll down the page and they are right at the bottom "Design Your Own Labels" and "Picture Labels".
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
