For all of you who make coaster calendars. what paper do you use to cover them? just normal craft paper? What sort of glue do you use? Sorry for all the questions, but i have decided to cover my cork coasters to make some calendars.

Also where is the cheapest/best place to buy cellophane cones from?

Also i am after some baubles i can decorate for the christmas tree this year, anyone know where i can get them from too? I'm not bothered if they are glass or plastic, but i want to be able to open them.

Again sorry for all the questions. :rotfl:

I am the same as craftygranny and try to use thicker paper for coasters.

How many cello cones were you after, I have some left over from last year and probably not going to use them this year. I won't be able to get them to you till I get back from CP but if that's ok them PM me if you want some ;)

I got some clear baubles from Cuddly Buddly, they come in 2 halves so you can fill them and decorate them.

Probably won't be on here now until I get back, love and hugs to all of you, gonna miss you xxx

  • Hope you're having a great halloween - we had the grand total of 2 lots of trick or treaters so lots of sweeties for us :D I was good and didn't buy any chocolate this year so at least I won't have to eat them all :rotfl:
DD made some bat biscuits yesterday that we got a kit for from Home Bargains but we have hidden them :)

Sorry for your losses Skier and My Georgie and your awful news Toms Mum - my friends mum was diagnosed with lymphoma recently - about time they could do something about that nasty C word :(

Have a great time Rainmac - will be so glad to get DD back to school on Tuesday even if she does have to be there at 8 every Thursday for extra lessons to push her on a bit with her grammar and punctuation.

Got a couple of bargains today in the Factory Shop - 2 xmas DCWV pads for £2 (6x6) and £4.50 (mat stack) and I ordered the new MME pads - hope OH is out when they're delivered ;)

I went to the SECC yesterday and spent a reasonable amount of money. Turns out my spendy elves got on well with my friend's vodka goblins too :D

    I bought *deep breath*

    7 wooden stamps
    2 ink pads
    Square card blanks
    Box of paper/card
    Many packs of brads
    Double sided tape
    Exploding box kit
    2 Martha Stewart punches (Woooooo!)
Honey & Hugs stamps (For £1!!)
Daisy & Dandelion birthday stamps (£2)
    3 packs of papers
    Owl stamp
    Kanban owl toppers x 2
    Christmas toppers

I spent just over £70 which is very naughty but under budget, so hurrah!

No more crafts until the New Year (My personal challenge now...)

Sorry I've been missing again have been reading but feeling a bit down so didn't feel like replying, my back is hurting again and we are still waiting to find out what is wrong with DH, so I'm still playing taxi to him and the kids.

(((((((Hugs))))))) to My Georgie and Tomsmum

Rainmac hope you have a good time.

KMS I did my blog header by downloading the blank header picture and then I opened it in paint and inserted my name and saved it then uploaded it onto my blog if you need anymore help or want me to do one for you give me shout.

Padster bargin DCWV pads wish we had somewhere like that round here.

Went to a small papercraft show today enjoyed it didn't buy that much but it was nice to see some of the products in real life if you know what I mean.

edit:Ment to ask where is the cheapest place to get white glitter card? does anyone know if they sell it in the range?

Dragonllew I have been looking for white glitter card too!! Last year I bought some from ebay at a really good price, but when my computer was misbehaving I lost loads of stuff including the sellers name. Sorry to hear about your back, its awful when you cant get comfy, it make you feel really miserable. Lots of hugs for you ((((((())))))).

We had a bit of horrid news yesterday, a friend of ours went into hospital last week for some tests and it turns out to be 3 large tumours, he is only 41 :( and is now in the Cancer hospital in Sheffield. We are hoping and praying for him. :(

Is it just me or has it been a really long day today, I'm sick of looking at the clock and thinking blimey is that all it is!! Might go and make a cuppa and watch Downton Abbey.
  • Evening everyone, Happy Halloween!
A lot of people on here have been receiving bad news recently so I would like to send hugs to all who need them.

I've received my cuttlebug and love it! I want to get so many more dies and embossing folders, OH said if I make a list then he will get some for me for xmas. I've started making xmas cards using the scalloped nesties and stickers from accessorize, think they look OK and they are pretty quick to make, will post pics on my you know what tomorrow, I've finally updated it!

Hope everyone who went to the SECC had a fab time and didn't spend too much xx
