I was very embarrassed today. I was doing a supermarket shop and had to queue at a normal till. There was a large queue and a manager told me I could go to a self scan area. I said I was OK and then he told me I could go to the express till. I said I was OK in this queue and he looked at me strangely and told me that the express queue was meant for baskets like mine. I think he thought I was just a very odd customer, from the looks I got, rather than a mystery shopper checking the queuing time!!
If this is for GR then it would have been fine for you to move. they rather you act natural then to seem obvious. I write down the name of the person supervising the checkout0 -

It wasn't GR, another one that I am never sure if they can be named, where you are not allowed to use any checkout apart from the main ones. I just felt very silly and strange lol. Even worse, it is the shop where we do our normal weekly shop so I will be stared at for another few weeks0 -

I have had this and I have just put down that I was redirected to a self serve till. Payment went through fine and they accepted the report because I had been taken to the till rather than did it myself (if you see what I mean!)Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0

Morning all..hope you are all keeping busy!
Today I am braving the town centres and have 2 Super shops, a catalogue and a pub meal.
Tomorrow I managed to bag 3 HIGHLY inflated Gap Coffee jobs
and got all the timeframes changed to suit me so hopefully will miss the big crowds.
Negatives this week are nothing is getting done at home as I am coming home late and then writing out reports! Memo to myself: Learn to say NO;)0 -
I've had the till problem with TNS. I was directed to the self service as there were no other tills open. There's a bit in their FAQ's on what to do. You dont fill in the questionnaire. Still got my payment. Worked out in my favour as they asked for it to be re-shopped 10 days later for an increased fee.0

Yeah, I mean you can't really refuse too much as you will stick out... Borders speaking of tNS did you pick up our favourite local supermarket from them?
They called me like 6 times I can't be bothered this weekend!0 -
If they direct you to the self service, I normally say I hate the machines and anyway I want to buy a lottery ticket from the cashierHere I go again on my own....0

Not the local one. Did it too recently. Have got the one west of us as I have a few jobs there.0 -
Am still snowed in, this is day 16 of solitary confinement and now totally beyond a joke, I have emailed the local councillor, daily calls to the Council, but no-one is taking notice. Most of the other roads I can see that are on the level have been cleared but we still haven't had our hill cleared, and now have so many jobs to do I'm totally stressed
On a good note, and totally beside the point, I'm with British Gas who went up yesterday and I emaield to say I didn't accept the price rise and was moving my account ( you legally have 20 days from notification of a rise to refuse it, but you must then move your account elsewhere in 15 days, so effectively you get another 35 days at the oldrate.) and they have offered me a lump sum of £50 to stay with them for a further 6 months (this is about what I'd save if I moved for 6 months) so a bit of result there.0
