I think it's worrying with the thaw (when/if it comes) cos some places will end up flooded too as there is so much snow piled up.
I saw on the news some person is suing her next door cos the snow fell off the roof on her. Some legal person was saying we ARE liable for the snow on our roofs and suggests we clear it:eek: Presumably we should all have cherry pickers in the shed for such an eventuality:rotfl:
You know serendipity my husband said that to me the other day - he is currently offshore at work, in a warm office drinking coffee and "suggested" I should check the roof. Our house is 3 stories high and I cant print what I told him  really what is ANYONE going to do about the snow on their roof!
Just asked to reschedule a job due to freezing fog and the fact the temp hasn risen above -11 all day, and was asked do I think that things will improve? No idea, my crystal ball is also frozen!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

It's sunny but really cold. I'm supposed to be ms'ing in that area but no chance.
OH just spent 1hr waiting for a mainline train to come. All the Dunblane trains are cancelled.0 -
I've finally had enough of the inane queries on my reports and pay being cancelled for some of them - none of which have ever been inaccurate, late or incorrectly sent, and have told the company in question i'm not happy, and won't be completing any future assignments with them.0

loads of jobs on today. Probably all released because of the weather! Scottish forecast looks better for the end of the week tho0

Agree with the above...lately been hit with so many jobs on offer and up for grabs. Highly unusual0

I have a feeling your happy to have eventually done this. I recall your post the other day but have never been offered that work from the company mentioned so have little insightI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Well, having worked with them for about 2yrs now, i was suprised with the sheer number of recent queries when i never used ot have any problems, the assignments are the same only paid less each time, which they do make yo aware of so fair enough - i'm not complaining about that as they have kept me informed about that, but when they started deciding not to pay some of them at all, and not responding to my queries as to what the problems were in order to do this, i haven't had any response - until yday's response which was about something entirely different, rather than a response to my query, as promised, i had sort of had enough!0

From what you have described i would have done the same. I expect that sort of behaviour from gap (emailed three times regarding something and never had a responce).I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
TBH, I weighed it up last night, and after tax, for what it's worth, i'd be better off staying home at weekends, rather than spending close to 8hrs standing outside in the cold being ignored! As with uploading it works out about £3/hr.
And at home I'm less likely to get ill from the cold0
