I was very proud of myself today. I was offered a bit extra to do a job. I asked for double the original fee and got it.
Should have asked for triple I guess, but I don't have the guts :rotfl:
I think the bottom line is if you're happy with what you managed to get, then it's all good.
Ok, you could've got more, but they might not have offered you much work in the future? It can go more than one way.0 -
Quick question...
How much is acceptable to ask for when negotiating an assignment fee? For example, original fee is £xx but company wants the job to be done asap so there is leeway for extra on top!
I got 12x the original fee once and it was them that suggested it not me. On top of that it was to buy a bottle of wine.0 -

Company that can't be named emailed today re: urgent visits needing to be done tomorrow. I have been given 2 and was told the paperwork would be sent through later. Has anyone else received theirs? ** PANIC **0

LOL. Glad I ain't the only one. She did say I will send it in a bit. Oh well.
PS. I almost fell off my chair when I got allocated one. They NEVER ever give me anything. Got a right little circuit sorted for tomorrow.
PPS. ESA called the other for a desperate visit they had left. I asked for mileage and I was told no. God knows how you lot ask for 10x the amount!0 -

Hope it comes through soon. I find ESA quite mean too. It was all I could do to get the £3 mileage out of them last time, that just made it up to the original fee before the cuts were made! I have heard some people getting good fees from them though. Oh well. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

That's the thing, I asked for mileage and the operator made it sound like I had told him to !!!! off or something! Oh err.
