Afternoon all:D
Been in meeting with deputy head/Senco all morning sorting out what to do to help DS at lunchtimes and breaktimes. It has come to light that he is finding it distracting being in the classroom too and struggling to concentrate. They have some strategies ready to put into place so we shall see:o
JackieG nice to see you posting and hanging on in there;)
Tappers have PM`d you. Hope you can get something sorted with DS2. I don`t really see what they are making a big deal of to be honest as long as he can do the basic job whats the problem. As LW pointed out some/prob most customers just want to pay and get out, not someone trying to discuss the ins and outs of a cats backside. I think it is all down to this American style "have a nice day" shopping culture these days. To be honest from the point of view of my DS I am sure the customer would rather he just serve them than go on one of his monologues about toilets etc. I know your DS is on the milder end but he would prob find having to make small talk quite excruciating.
I have 2.5kg of tomatoes to skin and make tomato ketchup with for Xmas hampers but I think it may have to wait till tomorrow now. I will get my ironing up to date instead this afternoon.
My viral thing has more or less gone but has wiped me out and I feel so tired all the time.
Well off to get this ironing sorted:o
Hugs to all in need and to Rubys little dog0 -
Right that's it, I've had enough, I am having a dishwasher and that's all there is to it! Sick fed up to the back teeth of washing dishes, I hate, hate, hate it, and DS1 tries to help but they're as dirty as when he started. No more, I am off to hunt the clssifieds.
strop over!

Afternoon all,
Hester...hope that your day has improved. Agree about dog owners leaving the poo for others to find!
Taplady....if DS wants to sort it himself give him a chance to do so...don't like it when people on till look at me as if I'd murdered their whole family, but don't need a chat or the 'have a nice day routine', I think he will be fine.
Went to garden centre this morning to look for a white geranium to propogate from for next year, bought loads of small ones early in the year, they have done very well but not a white one between them....didn't get one but OH still managed to spend €41.. I spent nothing, I couldn't spoil his fun when he took out his laser card, could I?
JackieG....get a dishwasher....think that I would rather handwash clothes than dishes! I know that its a matter of opinion, I have a friend who uses hers once a month...why has she got it I wonder. I love the way it cleans glasses and ovenware, apart from the ordinary daily stuff....get it this week!
My dehydrator came yesterday, so am going to be drying some apples later on....couldn't find one in Ireland, cost me €45 to have one sent to DD2 in London (no ROI deliveries) and then it cost her £20 to send it to me so it had better be worth all the hassle.
Nice here to-day, OH is out in garden sowing onion sets he bought in GC, need to plant some flowers I got, put my fuchsias in greenhouse and see what else needs doing....something wrong with me to-day I think as I didn't sleep well and seem to have more energy than usual?!
NPM...hugs for you and Noah.
Hugs to all in need or want of one, especially those who are under the weather.

Hello! Anyone missed mw over the past two weeks? We had DS to stay when he came out of hospital and I was just too depressed! He really is trying to commit suicide. Went back to his B&B on Monday to find all his stuff had disappeared. He eventually mentioned the police and low and behold they looked more carefully and found it all! The last night he broke down on the phone.. long story short he is in a secure ward once more. He just cannot cope on his own. I feel slightly more secure - it's been like walking on eggshells of late. Hope tha can sort out his medication at last. He was at his ex-partners last night when he broke down - she was somewhat surprised! I told her that he has lost everything, partner, daughter and home, so it's hardly surprising he is depressed, especially as he was ill to start with. I mustn't get cross with her, but really she needs to be a bit more sensitive.
Sorry, moan nearly over! Also I have been not well this week - sick and really bad chest. Wish I didn't feel so wobbly!
OS????? Well not too much I have to confess! I have kept up with the washing and ironing and have mostly stuck to HM bread...but there it ends! perhaps I'd better crawl back to my corner again!!
Take care all.Resolution:

Beemuzed big (((HUGS))) I don't think anyone would expect you to do loads of OS with all you've had on your plate. All the worry is bound to take it's toll on your health, too, so it's not surprising you've been poorly.
Just get your strength back; the poor chap is in the best place to get the help he needs now, so you need to concentrate on your own health now. You're still doing HM bread, so that's good, but just do as much as you can manage; the rest can wait.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Beemuzed.....hugs, take care of yourself pet.

Evening all
Hugs to bemuzzed.
I wasn't blaming the dog, just the owner, someone a few doors away just lets their 3 dogs out morning & evening instead of walking them & the damn things come into my garden on a regular basis for a !!!!. I'm a dog lover & always poopscoop when I dog sit.
No more disasters throughout the day & I just need to finish 2 more pieces of paid for sewing & then I can get back to some of the things I want to do.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Beemuzed, how hard it must be for you all, at least he is in a safe place now xx

Have good evenings all xx0 -
Evening everyone
Rain here most of the day. Ds2 is on his schhol trip this week, I hope he has had a good time, he should be ok as he won't be doing much writing. Took pup to vets this morning to get him checked out. He is fine and was so calm, also doing well with his toilet training. We had him microchipped too. He hasn't barked yet, is this normal for a Labrador pup?
Managed to sort my box of clothes today, have sorted another bag for the charity shop. Have mopped all floors again, due to muddy paws think this will be an ongoing job each day.
Bemuzzed - sending((hugs)) thinking of you and your ds.
NPM - hope the strategies the school put in place help noah.
Hester - glad your day got better.
Taplady - sending ((hugs)) hope your ds sorts things out.
JackieG - I understand your pain with the washing up, hate it. Where we moved to has a dishwasher, but catch on door has broken do using parcel tape at the moment.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care

I have to admit that, despite me being on my own, I use a dishwasher
. It's the one non-OS thing I do really. It came with my rented flat so if I didn't have one here I'd probably wash by hand. But my job is hectic, I have uni, busy social life, and you know what life is too short to wash up :rotfl:. I batch cook 3/4 times a week so have lots of big plans to wash too. Also, I have an open plan lounge/kitchen so a pile of dirty dishes makes the place untidy! It goes on twice a week normally, and always during the cheap electric period. If I need to re-use something that is dirty before the DW goes on I'll wash it by hand.
I've had a good day (didn't get to post yday, too busy!). Enrolled some new students onto my course in the morning. Then I went to uni this afternoon/evening
I loved today at uni. We did some actual learning and the group is really nice. Oh and cute boy sat next to me today
:rotfl:. Plus we got our student ID's so I now can get discounts in shops :j
Have a good evening all
