Items not selling well...what listing format please?

The one thing I used to sell a lot of are stamps and postcards (I bought loads in Eastern Europe, and used to sell them on eBay without actually dealing in them as a business),

I was wondering where the logic is here?

I didn't buy them specifically to sell on in Eastern Europe. I bought them dirt cheap as a collector, and then sold them later on when I got home and needed some money. I stopped once I realised I was no longer acting in good faith as a collector.

I've explained on a number of threads this is the frustrating point about collecting things and then selling them legitimately as a private seller on eBay; if you really want to report me though, go ahead, I've got nothing to hide. If I tried to sell on the remainder of my cards as individual cards and not just a bulk lot, I would be asked to register (and rightly so, they can't be expected to know my circumstances) as a business by eBay, so I don't sell these any more. All I'm selling at the moment are odd DVDs, a couple of old meditation CDs and some tarot cards I have collected.

Personally I reasearch items I am selling and take note of prices for BIN's and Auctions.

I then list as a BIN (30 days) above the average auction price and around average of finished BIN's

I get good money and don't sell anything for less than its worth, if ather 15 days or so I sometimes drop a few quid off a few prices etc but overall my prices work.

You have to consider many on ebay are impatient (myself included) and if they see a reasonable BIN they will buy that rather than wait for an auction to end.

Prices are quite clear. BINS (ecept for media) are 40p regardless of length of listing or price or even how many items . So not very cost effective for cheaper items

I have my BIN as 7 day listings and have to pay again to relist.

I tried to ammend to 30 day listings but it won't.

I'm selling some lights. I have 20 of them, (it show up as 20 in the number available box) so does Ebay charge 40p just once or everytime I sell one?

Once Martin. Careful when you relist, as it lists the original quantity even if you have sold half.
