  • Hello foodies !

Am very dissappointed with both of our local curry houses, the pilau rice is bland, the chicken always has a very strange texture, and the lamb jalfrezi DS1 yearns for has very little substance to it. So this week I shall attempt something new curry wise. I know the slow cooker does a good, if basic, curry but need something with some ooomph ! Note not going to attempt the pilau rice, Waitrose do a wonderful one, and I always find it reduced to freeze. Will have a go at Bombay Aloo though.
    Suggestions welcome.

also a prawn patia (has a bit of oomph)

and a DEAD easy pilau rice one :)

Hey Lurks, Pips n sparkles

    Lurks, where you go?

Just got to Brighton, 2.5hr drive, horrendous traffic  hot and sunny down here though :)

    Horrendous traffic, thats nothing :(

Picture this, (Blondie song there me thinks). Bank Holiday Monday, Budgie duly sets off with Mr BB to travel down to see her darling DS. Sets off at 2pm and gets there at 10,50pm :eek::eek:

Accident on the M1, then on the M25 which the police then closed. Had no idea where we were, so headed for Potters Bar and Ds said to head for Waltham Abbey. Then back onto the motorway but we went wrong on some road, the A13 I think going into Central London, ended up on the East India Dock Road.

I tell you I could have cried, thought we would end up in some accident, next time we will go via train. I am still recovering.

Put that with this awful, awful new computer system and you get just how Budgie is feeling.

I could whinge on all week and then some...................................

I really don't know how you Southern's cope with all the hectic roads and pace. Maybe next time I will try Dear Pippi's country, maybe nick, :o sorry borrow Dear Darwin. Thats more like it me thinks ;)

So hugs to everyone and I hope you are all having a better time than Budgie at the moment?

    Take Care everyone (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh and Dear Lurky really glad you enjoyed your jollies mate :)
