Need your help fellow diners. In an effort to put some zing back in the evening meal I am trying one new recipe each week.

Tried this last week and honestly it was yuck !
Chicken cacciatore if anuyone had a really nice recipe for it would welcome another go.

This last night and was wonderful !
    Fully loaded Cajun chicken burgers

Later this week am going to attempt a stroganoff.

Different_Corner, we did a Tagine last week (we did beef, but it could be lamb) and we found that rather tasty! If you would like a quick scan have a look here (it is supposed to be done in a pressure cooker, but we don't have one so just shoved it in the oven at 175 for about 3 hours until it was all cooked :p)
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

  • Thank you Dragon :) That looks like another one to add to 'wannadoo'. Love 'shove in oven and forget about it' especially when I'm on a short shift. Bookmarked.

Definitely one for the weekend but jo (and Jamie's) Slow Roast Pork is fantastic. He also does the same with a Lamb Shoulder and Chicken, basically you slow roast the meat on a vegetable trivet. Mr Oliver recommends pureeing the vegetables into the gravy but I like to eat them (often before they get to the table).
