  • We're in the run up to payday so its a case of grab what food you can from the cupboards!!:rotfl:

    Corned beef sandwich and some monster munch got lunch....its roast potatos, chicken escalope thingummy for tea with a "medley" of broccoli, peas and sweetcorn (ie dregs of bags of frozen veg!:rotfl:)

  • Am in need of comfort food today. So dinner tonight is chicken breast with rosemary and garlic (courtesy of my lovely Mum!), savoy cabbage (reduced to 40p in local mr t's), new potatos and cabbage. Yum!

    bit late now, but lovely way with savoy cabbage. Separate and boil the leaves for about 7 minutes, then drain and let them cool. Then heat some butter and cook a bit of bacon (optional) in a frying pan, slice up the cabbage, add and saute for a minute. DSs can't get enough of it

  • Small joint of roast beef here with roasties, Yorkshire puds and veg for dinner ....though no pudding > What WAS I thinking ?????

  • DH and DS have just cooked a fry up cos we missed tea. Might not be healthy but it was blooming lovely :D
    This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

    Sounds lovely, will have to give that a go. Anything fried in butter is good in my book!:)
