Hi to Maman, Pen and Sparkles to, also Eh and all the other regular diners. By the way DizzyD how are you? Does 40sm ever pop in here?

Now do any of you lovely people get these organic veg box deliveries? I am looking at them, in my area are Able and Cole, Riverford and Northern Harvest.

I also wanted to know what any of you think of the organic meat boxes?

I am aiming to be healthier, and yesterday I slaved in the kitchen :D (Well it felt like it) ;)

I made: Lentil Soup, Shepherds Pie, Spicey Meatballs, Hot Pot, lost track of what else, but been trying to meal plan.

Hey its a mine field
My very small kitchen was to put it nicely, a bombsite.

Ok enough rambling for me now ;)

Well I like to catch up :)

    Hugs Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

:wave:Hi Budgie, great to see you about after all this time.

I've just eaten duck confit, veg and ......dauphinoise potatoes!

I used to have your problem Lurks (that's just the one with the potatoes:p) but now use a recipe that my French niece gave me. Cook the potatoes almost completely first. I cook them in their skins to keep them together then cool, peel and slice thinly. I use creme fraiche (healthy option), crushed garlic and a chicken stock cube warmed through gently. Layer potatoes in the dish. I prefer to add some 'sauce' and grated cheese at each layer otherwise it doesn't percolate down well. When dish is full, I cook for about 45mins at 200 degrees. I often make one and freeze one (otherwise I'd make a huge dish and eat all of it:o). On defrosting it can be a bit dry so I just add a splash of milk.

    Thank yoiu budgie. :)

I have had both Riverford and Abel and Cole previously. What I like about Abel and Cole is that you can tick on the website the items that you don't want. I found that with Riverford I ended up one point fridge full of onions as I wasn't able to stop any one item coming.

Feeling better. But despite BF cooking lovely lunch of roast beef with roasties and veggies I didn't have much appetite. Tummy a bit dodgy still. But I have been able to have a good rest today. I slept from lunch to tea :). Couldn't face cheese sarnies for tea so just had some salad.
