Served up a cheap shop bought pie last night, nice pastry, no filling and tasted very strongly of onion, t'was disgusting, with Mr T value mixed veg (yuck) and mash that had been over cooked for errr quite a bit of time.....oh and I forgot to add salt (in his portion
) oh and lumpy gravy
Sounds just about right!!:D
I'm feeling a bit better today, moved on to Co-codamol from paracetamol so slept better. Hopefully, now on the up and thanks for asking.
OH was kind enough to do kippers for breakfast but couldn't really taste them:( Beef stew later (nicely marinated from yesterday), comfort food is good at this time of the year.0 -

Hi Jo. Some people like school dinners y'know. Why are you still even cooking for him?
Am having hm lentil & spinach soup and a hummous sarnie for lunch. To balance that out I will be mostly eating crisps for dinner. (But not curry wurst ones. blech!)
hs...nothing to see here...0 -
Crackers and cheese for lunch and I can't remember what I've put on the meal planner for tonight. DH hasn't phoned in a panic yet so I must have left something for him to cook. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Had the urge for curry.....so chicken korma simmering away on hob, rice at the ready, mini poppadoms and raita....can't wait....:D**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0

Chocolate coated peanuts for snack. Marks and sparks spiced lamb with pilau rice for lunch
More of the stir fried veggies with rice noodles for tea (plus DD's left overs). I think I need to stop patronising this establishment as I have put on 10 pounds

There'll be nothing for tea but that freezer medley stuff unless I go out! At last I'm feeling a bit better so will face the supermarket. I fancy some real greasy spoon food like gammon and chips.0

Oooh gammon and chips...sounds nice. Egg and chips is even better
Glad you are feeling a bit better Maman. My cold seems on the wane too although it seems to have hit my throat and stuck there. Sounding very croaky at the moment!
Todays menu: Toast, tuna sarnie...tea could be anything. Not entirely sure at the moment. Off to do a big shop at Mr T's after dinner so may just buy myself something nice there:D

Thanks MissP, I was really croaky this morning too but hopefully am now over the worst.
I did get to the shops and so we had gammon, sweet potato wedges, tomatoes, mushrooms, mushy peas and baked red onions in balsamic vinegar (must get my superfoods in) tonight.
Also got some chicken thighs marinating in lemon juice, thyme, garlic and curry powder ready for tomorrow. It's not something I've done before ( saw the recipe in the newspaper) but will report back.0 -
We had tatties and crusty bread
I think them their french folk call it 'Tartiflette' - yummy....................:)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

*Waves* Hello! Sorry to hear that so many on here have got the croaky lurgy - had it myself and am now left with a lingering annoying cough.
Jo - sounds like you are excelling yourself on the slop front. Good work that woman!
Here today it was "Christmas shopping with Mum" day - so cup of tea for lunch, Burger king for lunch (Bacon Double cheese, fries and coke - nom nom nom!) which is our once a year foray into the world of real fast food. Neither MrEH nor my Dad will go near BK and similar so we do enjoy our lunch on our shopping day! Dinner was cheese and crackers which was lovely and effectively free as paid for with a Marks & Sparks voucher gained through Pigsback.
Off to Birmingham tomorrow - visiting Cadburyworld so you can assume that choklit will feature high on the meal plan for tomorrow, then going round the german market and on to the pub in the evening. Then the Good Food show on Sunday!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
