    Morning all

Bbrrrrrrrrrr....still freezing here....know I'm a southern softie compared to some of our friends 'oop north...but -8 overnight was far too cold for me!!

Still on warming comfort food here. Toast for brekkie, soup for lunch and am having a bash at making a stew tonight (never done one before!)

Tasteless curry last night made out of a jar (that should never happen  :naughty:), unrinsed rice that looked like rice pudding with boiled eggs that had been stirred into the curry a little to heavy handedly and broke into bits last night

I am hoping that OH is off out tonight, please send going out vibes :)

Merry crimbo Lurkins and to all my other patrons, gonna be a rocky month in Chez1972, roll on 2011 :D

Going out vibes being sent.......although you sure you want him to go out? Very icy out there...be a terrible thing for him to slip over...:D

  • Hot choklit for brekkie :)

Bit chilly here too this morning. Too many motorists not being mindful of the ice on the way in, made a really tiresome journey. What is so difficult to understand about 'its minus 6 outside and the roads are shiny'
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Too many brain-dead idiots being allowed driving licenses is the problem Pen - glad you made it safely.

Considering Porridge for brekkie here - not had it in ages but am seriously tempted this morning and i have oats and milk in. Hmmm. Lunch will be pasta, pesto and parmesan, and dinner tonight I haven't made my mind up yet. Might be tacos actually, although I'll need to get the mince out to defrost if I'm heading down that route.

Following a suggestion on my thread, one of my jobs for today / the weekend is to do a longer term meal plan/list, that I can plan from a week at a time. Seems like a good idea, and a good way of working through the contents of my freezers, storecupboard & larder.

*going out vibes* in the direction of Jo's OH - actually, would you prefer "Going out and not coming back" vibes?!

Perhaps this will work jo! Hope you can have a lovely evening to yourself.

Agree EH that I should get a bit more meal planning done. I always plan but meals have been a bit samey lately. I need to work on a longer list of choices.

Baked beans here, I love them. Good to get something hot inside you to start the day. Oops:o

Undecided for tea. Probably chicken jumbalaya as I have all ingredients in but if I get to shops might be something else a bit quicker.

He didn't go out but out tonight instead :D

He is seriously pi$$ing me off. Spent the entire evening in the kitchen last night watching telly. Can't sit in the same room as him. I went into the living room at 10pm and said night and walked out, he not happy cos he was taping celebrity jungle to watch when I came in but I watched it in the kitchen.

He's not talking to me this morning. Hard this is :(

Do I stop it all now or wait till new year?
