Hello all!
Well, the cold's just about gone (my head still feels like a family of cotton wool is living in it though
) and the cough has nicely set in. I'm glad of that though, it's how it always goes when I'm ill and it means it's half way over. See, I'm looking on the bright side.
My bank balance has dropped alarmingly this morning.
A lot of Paypal payments have just come out (including some Sketchers Shape-ups, which I love even though they've given me a blister) and so has a cheque I paid to the garage a little while back. I'll have to take it easy on the spending for a bit, my rent's due on Fri and my dad needs to borrow £500 for a few weeks to buy a new car. I don't mind lending him it though, he doesn't charge me rent when I go home and he keeps a load of my stuff at his for free so it's only fair. He also appears to be taking out a loan from the bank to pay off his credit cards so I might take the chance to give him the standard DFW spiel on consolidation loans. I don't get a chance to lecture my parents very often, it's fun.

Hi Kayleigh, are the Sketchers things one of these shoes that give your legs an extra workout? Lecturing parents sounds good

Yep, those are the ones.
I only got them yesterday and was too ill to leave the house then but I've been wearing them today and they're great (besides the blister)

My dad's problem is that, like cooking, he expected me to learn budgeting the summer before I left for uni, instead of teaching me since I was little how to budget (and cook, for that matter). That's probably why I'm only getting the hang of both of them now. :rotfl:
