i'm staggered that my earlier post has been deleted because i called the op in this thread a "slimey toad" yet this malicious rally call for others to destroy an innocent persons ebay account based on unfounded allegations of tax evasion is allowed to remain.

Good logic MSE mods:T.... at least Harveybobbles is party to this thread and able to put forward his own case if he feels my comments about him are unfounded, unlike the poor person who you are allowing Harveybobbles target maliciously via this site....

I never h'actually spotted what you wrote lol.
  • Same as the guy you want people to report for you. Most people will just 'take you word for it' that he IS doing something wrong.

Take my word? Why would they, when they can just click on his items he is selling and see that hes a busniness who isnt registered as one. Duh...

Can hardly call it an innocent person when they are failing to disclose to eBay (and probably HMRC if we want to that far) that they are a business.

I think the objection is to you, as a motor trader, enlisting help in sorting out a rival business.
  • Ebay is a haven for scammers, cheats and fraudsters. Be very careful buying or selling on Ebay.

Even when fraudsters are caught, EBay are very reluctant too take any meaningful action.

I for one are too trusting for Ebay. (TTFE)

I don't see why they wouldn't be registered as a business on Ebay, if I remember correctly it costs more to list as a Private seller and FVFs are higher.
Also unregistered business sellers get flagged up to HMRC a lot quicker than registered ones.
It may be that they are registered with HMRC and are ignorant of the need to be registered as one for Ebay.

it's quite clear that harvey has an interest in removing this person from ebay, i assume that is because he is in the same business.

for those talking of a "requirement" to register as a business on ebay you should note that this requirement is an ebay requirement and not a legal one, as long as this person pays his taxes, and there is nothing in this thread except assumption to suggest they don't, then he can have whatever "status" he likes on ebay as far as HMRC and the law are concerned.

this thread is a disgrace, it's even more of a disgrace that MSE are allowing harvey to attempt to profit by posting this rubbish.

You can't post affiliate links on MSE but posting malicious and potentially libel threads about others with the sole inention of removing competition in order to increase your profits, thats ok....

    loving the logic MSE mods......
